    This tripod is great for a beginner, however you get what you pay for. I'm not saying you need a 100 or 200 dollar tripod for it to be fully functional, but I have had the 60" Dynex Tripod from BestBuy before for about 40 bucks (10 more dollars than this one) and it was much better quality with a heavy metallic feel as opposed to light weight plastic. I was concerned someone would bump into the tripod when fully extended and topple my camera to the ground. Also the handle on it isn't very fluid, as in the camera will jerk when you try to pivot it from side to side.
