Great tripod for those on the go. I use it constantly to vlog with my Sony HX90V and Sony a7ii. Can be used as a selfie stick like i do in vlogging or great for setting up for those time lapses. YouTube - THEGregSummers

    In two words "It Works"

I bought this small tripod for use with my two camcorders a Sony HDRCX550V&SonyHDRCX150, both small and the right weight for this small tripod. (As the box states it's not for large DSLR type cameras.) I set it up on a small table and used my remote to take a video of my dog and myself, sitting on the couch. The small tripod is sturdy but care is needed as the swivel ball is held in a non metal socket, and can move if pushed. It's tight enough to hold your small cameras, but I recommend watching this ball socket as it can move. The legs are simple to adjust as needed for height, and lock when the legs are twisted CCW, just remember to lock them if they are extended. The finish is very nice and they also give you a nice small bag to keep your tripod in when not in use. Just remember this small tripod has it's weight limits and you need to keep a close eye on where it's sitting, as it can be knocked over or off a table with little effort. If your needs include a small table type Tripod this SunPak tripod will fit your need very well.

    Excellent little tripod

For the people who said it's too short, the 11.5 inch description ison the package. For people saying it won't hold their camera, the box warns against use with heavy (specifically SLR) cameras. Read the box. I use it with my Sony HD Camcorder (HDR-XR150) and it is perfectly steady. A great little tabletop tripod. Perfect for what it is (not a professional tripod).

    Light Weight and Portable

Am planning a trip to Africa and do not want to lug around 10 pounds of cameras with accessories so this small tripod fits neatly in my camera bag. Often pictures are taken in a crowd where larger tripods are out of the question. This one meets my needs of being durable, portable, and packable.

    It's a wittle tri-pod

It's a little tri-pod for use with small compact cameras, it has a nice ball joint that allows you to lay the camera over horizontal (primary reason I bought it, I've got a 3D camera that only records in 3d when it's horizontal), the balance is a bit iffy when you put the camera in that mode but heck... it's cheap and it gets the job done :)

    It works

I got this because I was running late for a show I had to tape for and it was the quickest/smallest tripod on the shelves I could grab. It works, as long as you can finagle it to the angle you need, it's good. It defantly works if you know what you're doing. Of course this isn't meant for your Canon GL2 or anything. It works, and that's all I needed.

    Great Tripod for a mini

    Posted .

For the people giving bad reviews because their cameras fell this is made for compact cameras not the DSLR's. I'm frightened that someone who would buy a DSLR would be even trying to use something like this for those. I got this tripod in a package deal with a Nikon coolpix that I purchased to go with me on a trip for the times when I need to snap a shot real quick and I'm not quite read with the DSLR lens yet. I must say I like it a lot and for the price I paid I couldn't ask for anything more. I may have to purchase another one for my second canon point and shoot that I'll be getting soon.

    Great little tripod

This is a great way to set up a desk top camera or video cam to record lectures or speeches. Takes up very little room and it's weight helps to anchor your cam so it doesn't become top heavy like lighter small tripods do. Because of it's size it fits in any briefcase, backpack or computer case.

    Handy Little Tripod

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This tripod is well constructed and works well with my cam and compact cameras. I like how you can position it in many different ways and extend the legs if you want to. There is a convenient case to put it in for traveling. I don't know why there were some one star reviews for this unless they received a defective unit. Or perhaps the camera they are putting on it is too big.

    PERFECT TRAVEL COMPANION

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I bought this product because I thought it would be great for travel. It is so compact, it fits virtually anywhere. It's ease of use makes it perfect for anyone who likes photography. The one downside is that it has a maximum height of 11". It makes it difficult to shoot photos from a distance without angling it upwards. I found that a good way to counter this issue is by putting the tripod on a relatively flat surface that is elevated to about eye level (or just below). That way you are able to shoot those tricky night shots without having to point it at the sky. Otherwise it's a great little accessory.

Great Mini Tripod For The Price

This mini Tripod is great for low to the ground shots. Make sure the legs are locked into place before setting your camera down on it or you could risk dropping and damaging camera.

    A little frustrating

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

It's nice as a little tripod to use on tabletops and such, but the legs are that sturdy and sometimes do not want to stay out, especially once you put weight on them. It's cheap. Better off paying for a better one.

Great product, great for the money, is everything it's supposed to be, it's light, fits anywhere, and it is very flexible, as it lets you place the camera in about any positions you can imagine, bought it for my last vacations and everybody thinks I had somebody taking the pictures for me on my trip, the wife loves it, nothing negativa to say about it...

Good tripod for camcorders, not so good for DSLR's

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I bought this tripod hoping to use it for both my Canon T1i and my Sony Camcorder. While it worked well for the camcorder due to its lightweight, it wouldn't stay level with my T1i and the lens was always falling forward. The ball-and-socket head, isn't particularly stable and I wouldn't recommend it for anything other than a point and shoot camera or a lightweight camera.
