Good Buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this to use with my Kodak Touch HD so I can practice my sign language. I like that it comes with a carrying case so when I throw it in my backpack, I won't have to worry about debris getting into the legs or scratch other items. The legs extend to a perfect high while using on a table or desk.

Not my first choice
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It seems cheap. It's really easy to use, but once the camera is attached it wobbles a bit. I wouldn't recommend using this tripod if you have a larger sized camera. Works best on a table top.

It seems sturdier than it is...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this product because it seemed as though it was solidly constructed. I was partially correct. My intended uses were two fold. First it needed to be able to support my Sony NEX5N and second it would act as a stand for my voice recorder. While it may do okay for the voice recorder I do not believe it would hold my camera with the legs extended. They do not lock into place and have way to much play in them to make a solid platform. The poor design concept on the extendable legs caused me to promptly return it.

If only I could give it negative stars
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is worthless, and has been since day 1!! It will not hold my JVC Everio camcorder up at all! I use it + my camcorder to record lectures, most lasting for 3 hours. My hand actually gets strained trying to hold the thing up for that length of time. If I could give it negative stars, I would. Plus, it sold for 21.00 in the store!!! Too much!!!

Not for DSLR Cameras
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The tripod is okay, just not for my use. I have a Canon Rebel T6S and the tripod won't hold it. It screws on but will not stay upright no matter how hard I try to tighten the ball joint on top. So I'm not sure if I have a faulty tripod or if the camera is too heavy. It seems like it would work well for a lighter camera though.

Who thought this was a good product?
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very attracted to this tripod when I first saw it. It looked small, yet sturdy. Sadly, I was wrong about the sturdy part. Although the legs are fat, they don't hold. More importantly, the ball head is made of plastic, and it won't even hold a little point-and-shoot camera steady! The tightening screw is tapped into plastic, so when you try to cinch it down, you strip it out! I'm amazed that a store with the reputation of Best Buy carries this. I wish there were a way to give negative stars!

nice but not big enough
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great for close up shots and near shot photos. Great deal and comes with handy carrying case. Is not big enough for far shots and a knee would be just as steddy for aim and steadiness for far shots.

No stability
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Being the only tabletop tripod on the BB shelves, I picked this up for a quick shoot. The mount is on a ball head that never holds firm, no matter how tightly you twist the fastening screw. If your camera weighs more than an ounce, this probably won't do the trick.

Quite Pathetic
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this in the store, and was excited for my new camera stand. Having a compact one that I could carry around in my case was ideal. Little did I know it would come already broken and with a screw on the head too stripped to even hold my camera. This was not the quality I expected from Best Buy.

This is not a very good stand.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can see why this stand id so cheap. You get what you pay for. This Stand has two extendable leg sections. The bottom leg extension locks but the one closer to the top does not. Because of this, you are constantly adjusting you camera. It is a pain.

Tripod head was loose
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Both tripods in the store had the same defect. The tripod ball head could night tighten enough to hold the point-and-shoot camera in place. Perhaps both were just defective. I exchanged it for the less expensive Dynex mini-tripod, which works great.

Not good for larger cameras
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The mini tripod is not made for digital slr cameras. The camera is too heavy and keeps falling forward.

OK for small point & shoot
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tripod can't support the weight of a DSLR even with an 18-105 lens
