Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the TravelSmart 50 50" Tripod's ease of use, light weight, and affordability. Many appreciate its compact size, perfect for various uses. However, some users express concerns regarding its stability in outdoor conditions and the sturdiness of the mount. A few describe the tripod as somewhat lightweight in construction.

Its flimsy but its what you would expect at this price point. I ended up returning it because I ended up not needing it but its good for simple jobs

If you need to leave your camera somewhere to take long exposures or film, get something with heavier legs and a weight hook. This is perfect for taking anywhere. Is super compact, light, and does the job.

Easy to set up but it’s hard to make it even. But you can eventually mess with it and get it even. I don’t know what else to say but it says I have to keep writing.

I bought this stand for my Iceland trip to capture waterfalls and it worked its purpose! Love the three different lengths i can put it too. It is a little light so if it is windy, it will knock over. That is why I put 4 stars instead of 5.

This worked great for my cell phone. Really couldn’t beat it for the price. Probably a little flimsy if you have a heavier more expensive camera. It’s nice that it’s so compact and has its own case.

It's not a heavy duty pro tripod. But it is well worth the money I paid for it. It is well made and collapses and sets up with ease.

I think it’s great for the price I bought it for. I just wish when I turned it on the side to get a side shot it would stay better and give me a secure lock. Instead it drops my camera all the way down and doesn’t hold in the spot I need.

    It works, but isn’t sturdy

This what you pay for. The legs are thin and flimsy as you stand it up to it’s highest position, that’s to be expected. The biggest issue I could say I have is the mount itself. It does not secure the camera from moving when you press the shutter button. This is really only an issue when you are trying to do long exposure shots at night or of water. That little bit of camera shake can cause the picture to suffer. Either way, for just having a quick and portable tripod handy that is inexpensive, this one does the job.

Good for a relatively light camera. If you plan on moving this around, I wouldn’t recommend; however if you are positioning and shooting it will do the trick.

For basic (small) camera and cell phone use and at the half-price deal I got it for, is the only reasons to purchase this. When you extend to max length, not much stability in the outdoor elements but again, indoors it suffices. The mount utilized directly atop is ok but if using the open-to-extend (phone in portrait position) it is not as stable...it comes w/ a phone-mount that screws on (a plus). Overall, you're getting the quality of price paid for. Go look at a $100+ tripod, you'll see the difference.

Will it hold up an elephant? Nope. But it will hold and hold well not too heavy cameras and lenses, spotting scopesand more. Very convenient for on the go and works well. Worth consideration and the price...
