Don't get this movie if you're expecting lots of punching and throwing of heavy things. This movie has a few parts where you witness what Superman can do, but overall, this isn't an action movie. If anything, it's a love story that carries on from the original film where Superman II left off. Routh does a good job capturing the Reeves version of Superman, though i can't say that Lois had the same luck in the recasting. Spacey did an amazing job as Luthor, if not better than Hackman did originally. The plot was subpar and the ending was pretty much weak. There's a lot of loose ends they could tie up in a followup movie, but apparently they are just going to redo the entire thing. It's a beautiful movie (one scene with Superman above Earth in particular), but it's definately more of an emotionally driven film than an over-the-top action movie most were hoping for.

i know that mr. reeves is the orignal superman R.I.P. but watching this film makes you think that this is how superman should be in a film and who else better to bring a new generation of superman fans then mr. singer i mean he brought X-men to life and those were good films but thats another review back to the man of steel great movie cant wait for the sequel

If you liked the originals, you'll like this! For starters, the graphics are great, and the story is outstanding. Our hero must battle Lex Luthor while trying to save the world in the process!
