The stylus pen works just as described for the Surface.

This is a much needed and great addition to the Surface product line. If you end up purchasing a Surface 3, then I highly recommend getting a pen as well. It syncs via Bluetooth and takes one battery that comes with it. It is very accurate and simple to use. You can adjust the pen settings to your liking such as pressure points.

As a quick note, the stylus pen is not included in the Surface, only the Surface Pro. Overall, the Microsoft stylus is a great one and better than others on the market - especially for handwriting recognition.

I love my surface pen. I was thrilled when they came out with a black one. I also love that they have included a holder to attach to the Surface product to keep from losing the pen which was not the case when I first bought my Surface Pro 3, thus being the reason I had to buy another because my first one was lost!!!

I bought a Surface 3, the keyboard, and the pen. Personally, I use the keyboard, the trackpad on the keyboard, and my fingers on the touchscreen significantly more than I use the pen. It's nice if you're going to be taking handwritten notes but otherwise it might not be worth the $50 MSRP to you.

I am very happy with this product. I use my surface for running cards at trade shows and love the optical feature to this pen. With the new card laws going into effect in October, I feel this will be easier for customers to sign with and will get them a cleaner signature making it more secure for my customers.

Works great with the surface pro. Only problem it is tad pricey

This has been a life saver for someone with larger fingers that may strike two virtual keys at one time. I use the keyboard when typing a lot. This helps me navigate around the entire tablet. Only problem I have is a self-correcting one, lift the pen off the surface or you will select several items.

Ideal for my tablet. Was a "must get" for my tablet purchase.
