I have wanted to get this backpack for a long while and I got it at a great price! $75. I could not justify $99, not that it was not worth it! Overall this is a great product that can be used for business, leisure, and travel! Has many compartments for tech savvy individuals! You can put in a laptop, Ipod, Ipad, cell phone, and some other files in this backpack all in one day! I use this backpack quite often and it is my favorite! You will be quite pleased with this product!

My husband can't kill this backpack--looks like new 6 months later. Has room for everything he needs for work & protects his laptop and other gadgets.

This was a present for a network engineer who never leaves home without his laptop... he loves it... it has all the different pockets for organizing as well as a large enough space to hold a widescreen computer. His old backpack was from the same company but from about 5 years ago, and he remarked how much lighter this one was. This brand has had very good luck with him before and has withstood daily abuse commuting for many years... this one is made even better from what we can tell, and I'm sure it will last for quite some time. I highly recommend this backpack!

    Holds Everything I have

I travel all over the world for work purposes and needed a bag that could keep up with extreme environments, being slung around airport terminals, overstuffing, and just really hard usage. This bag does that. The straps don't dig into my shoulders, making it very comfortable. It has so many compartments that unloading electronic devices while going through customs is a breeze. Only thing I don't care for is that the material shows dirt really well so I look "dirty" sometimes, but a quick wipe with a Clorox wipe takes care of that.

    Good for a Student

As a college student, I have quite a bit to carry around. The various pockets work very well for carrying around school supplies. It's also the perfect height for a 17" laptop. The padded straps and back make this backpack comfortable to carry around. I've only had it a month, but so far it has held up great. Besides the high price, the only downside I can find is that the mesh pockets are too small to carry around anything bigger than a small water bottle, so is not ideal for a travel mug of coffee or a medium or large water bottle.

Bought in high school and lasted another 10+ years

This bag can probably last about 20 years or more. The only reason why I got rid of it was because it wouldn’t break and I got so sick and tired of it. I eventually threw it away because it collected a ton of dirt dust that I couldn’t fully get rid of unless I spent $20 at the dry cleaners so I just the it away. I’ll be honest, i went through high school, college, 7 year girlfriend (we broke up), and even as a professional. I shed a few tears when i tossed it. Now i have a herschel bag that has a string and i hate it but spent $200.

I absolutely recommend this product to any enthusiastic backpack seekers, looking for a high-quality and sustainable product. The storage this bag has to offer beats any similar product in the market, the only tradeoff with this bag is it's weight.

This backpack has several pouches and locations to store all of the gadgets that most computers geeks like to carry with their Computer set-up. I carry quite a few things and this backpack has a slot for everything some of them zip and some of them Velcro. It is also very comfortable to carry around on your back and very well made; I expect it will give me many years of use and I am very happy with this purchase.

This is my second victorinox / swiss army backpack. My first was bought in 2002, and is still functional. That says a lot in my opinion. I have only had this bag for a month now, but I am very happy with it. Not only does it hold my iPad, PsP go, cell phone, iPod, and all the plugs, but it also has room for my laptop. In addition to all my gadgets, I keep a leather man in the knife holster. This bag has met and exceeded my expectations.

I've used this bag for work travel and personal travel. I have a 14" work laptop and 15.6" laptop for work and they both will fit in the main compartment. When I travel for work, the 2nd main compartment holds my multimeter and a small toolbag. I've modified this a bit to add some cushion for a Surface Pro for my maintenance logging. The top compartment holds my cables, chargers, etc.. Upper side pockets hold personal earbuds and the other my work earbuds for conference calls. The 3rd is for misc stuff... Chargers, battery packs, etc... The last on I use for a small notebook, some pens/markers/highlighters, as well as business cards and the lot. I have a dosimeter badge and some keys clipped to the clip inside. The stretchy side pouches contain locks I need for work. I work in an industrial envrionment that is rough on bags. This bag has held up remarkably and I have only had one minor issue. The plastic tabs on the main handle broke (the braided cable), but it still holds strong and no signs of fraying, tearing, or signs of failure. I haven't had any broken items from using this bag even when filled to capacity.

Great update and tons of usable space

I was looking for a replace for my old SwissGear backpack that I had been using for years. It finally, after about six years, started to show some wear and tear. I did a TON of shopping and reading reviews and decided on this one. I went to my local BestBuy and they matched the best price I could get for this online. I can't say enough about how happy I am on this purchase. It's solid construction, holds a large laptop easily, tons of working space. I travel for work and I keep this packed w/ everything I would need for when I'm on the road: laptop, back-up battery packs, iPad, iPad mini, and tons of chargers and other odds and ends that I have needed in the past when I was out away from the office. This has more than enough space for everything and is still comfortable to carry on my back. It actually helps relieve some back stress as it sits higher on my back than my old one. Only complaint (if you can call it that) would be a pocket or way to organize the main pockets in the front to help utilize the space at the top of the pocket a little better. Overall, you will not go wrong with this purchase.

I always needed this kind of backpack to carry my equipment to work anywhere every day. This backpack is the complete solution for me. I usually take about 40 pounds of gear (17.3'' laptop, notepads, network cables, power cables, USB cables, media, books, writing stuff, ipod). All I need in order to not connect and work wherever I go. This backpack not only fits it all it is also strong to last many years.

I use this bag for work...it spends 99% of its days with about 30-40 lbs of gear inside it (laptop, tools, parts, etc). It sees some pretty rough conditions, everything from construction sites to mechanical rooms. I am very hard on equipment and therefore look to buy products that will endure. This pack is going into its 3rd year on the job. Despite being dropped off of ladders, kicked, dragged and otherwise just generally abused...not one thing on it has broken. The zippers and handles are all intact and operate like day 1. The fabric is roughed up but still looks good with zero tears anywhere. The straps have a few stiches coming loose but that is simply cosmetic and i'm just trying to come up with a flaw. Bottom line: $100 is big bucks for a backpack, but I guarantee it will outlast your next two laptops...and then some.

I picked up this bag about a week ago for a laptop I had ordered online. The laptop is a 17.3" widescreen and it fits into this bag with room to spare. There's also plenty of room for to carry the laptop charger, a Logitech G35 Headset (this is a fairly large headset), Steel Series World of Warcraft Mouse, mouse pad, and wrist rests for the moust pad and keyboard. These pieces all fit into the main compartment. There are still other compartments for smaller items. The only thing I haven't been able to find room to put in this bag is a full sized keybaord, which I wouldn't have expected to pack into the bag anyway. The top compartment is large enough to store my Nintendo DS, games for the DS, and my mp3 player. My only fault with this bag is that I haven't figured out the proper way to insert my laptop into the bag. The laptop compartment has a section to insert your laptop and strap it in, but it feels like the laptop is upside down when I put it in there. If I turn it over the screen side of the laptop would be laying on my back which seems even stranger. The bag is well padded, so I dont' think I'll have any long term issues either way the laptop is stored in the bag, but it would be nice to know what the "correct" way to do it is.

I've had this bag for nearly a month, and so far it has satisfied me in appearance, look, and durability. The only downside to this product is that it is $100, and for a college student that is quite expensive for a book bag, but I believe I have found a bag that could last me the next four years

After getting a new 17" widescreen laptop for work, decided I would rather have a backpack type of bag. Went through various stores looking for a bag that has ample storage space as well as fits a laptop this big. This bag was the best option I could find. I don't feel I compromised on anything. Tons of pockets, even some with special material for more expensive items to prevent scratches. Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for this type of solution.

The best daypack and desktop replacement bag

Most backpacks aim for a price point of about 65-80$ but actually rely on the laptop for support. The added pockets, padding and support of this backpack make it worth flipping an extra 30 bucks in the long run. It has 3 main compartments and then some. I have a TV tuner, Xbox 360 controller, a 25 pack of dvd-r's, os restore media, a Cisco hardcover book and a huge sennheiser headset. With the laptop in the sleeve I'd say its at about 1/2 capacity. It's a little bulky, but to take my entire desk with me it's worth it! The placement of the straps and padding make it double as an excellent daypack for hiking and you could easily store a rain cover in the top compartment.

This backpack is excellent. It has so much storage space. Pockets have pockets inside them. There are smaller pockets for keys and pens, a space for my iPad and a space for my laptop. It has lots of space, but is comfortable to wear. I love it.
