I have had ths bag for about two months now and bought it after reading all the reviews, checking out the Wenger web site, and physically inspecting the product. All I have to say is that it is THE best back pack I could have ever hoped to purchase, and I'm not just giving away this complement, I usually find something negative to say about everything, and in this case it would only be that there are way too many places to stow stuff and potentially lose... that's it and not necessarily such a negative either. The cushion on the bag feel great on my back and allow for air to flow. The shoulder straps are broad and distribute weight comfortably, even with a laptop, accessories, biology textbook and binder filled with notes, labs, etc. The main steel cable reinforced handle feels more than sturdy, and the laptop compartment provides plenty of protection with extra thick foam padding, however, I would never dare test it by tossing it several feet into a grassy field like I did as a kid with my old bags, but feel confident that my laptop would be safe if mishandled and dropped. As one reviewer said this is built like a tank and I agree. Buy one to protect your investment.

What can I say, this is the best backpack I have found!! I Love It! Durable construction, Lots of space, excellent protection for my laptop, great look, well worth the price!! I am currently using it for school, but this backpack will last me for years to come.

Within 3 days one of the zippers stitches came undone.

WHAT'S GREAT: I really spent time shopping around for a nice backpack. It seems I have found it. The Swiss Gear backpack is a bit more expensive than others on the market but it does pay off. So, price is not really the issue here. This backpack has got plenty of room to store all kinds of stationary and folders. I can easily fit my laptop and an Epson projector (EX 51) at the same time and still have room for other small things (DVD's, pen drives, a school folders, etc.). The fact that this bag stands on its own is really helpful because I can keep storing things inside without having to hold it up. I also don't have to worry about it flipping over and damaging my computer or other items inside. This might seem like a silly detail but in my case it really helps because I always have tons of stuff to carry around. I have only used this product for a week, so I cannot evaluate it in terms of resistance. However, from experience with other bags (Targus, etc.), it is clearly seen that this material is top notch, especially the top handle. The zippers are easily accessible and travel smoothly. Lots, lots, and lots of inside compartments: a Virgo's paradise! (I'm a Virgo). I love having all these options but I must confess that sometimes I get confused with having so many compartments but, hey, I've only owned this product for a week. So, I need some time to adjust to this. Last but not least, the backpack really does fit snugly and comfortably, not to mention the great looks! WHAT'S NOT SO GREAT: The inside velcro strap does not fully secure my laptop into place (I have a Sony Vaio 15" - VGN-CR420E). It doesn't mean my computer bounces around but it clearly does not hold it strongly into place. The manufacturer should have added more velcro surface so that we could tightly adjust this setting to our liking. In the end, definitely worth it!

An all around great backpack for the busy professional on the go. As a radio reporter I am thrilled to have a bag with more than enough space to securely store my laptop, iPad, recording equipment, microphones, extra batteries and much more. I have used several other backpacks and briefcases, all of which fell apart within the first few months. Kudos to Wenger on the outside pockets, which not only provide easy access to all of my equipment, but prevents things from falling to the bottom and getting lost or damaged. I have had this bag for just over a year now and it still works just as well as it did the day I got it.

I purchased this backpack with a new laptop that I purchased about 4 months ago for school, needing something to carry the new laptop and all my books and other stuff for school. I have had nothing other than a great experience with the backpack thus far. It offers tons and tons of carrying space, not only for your laptop but for your books, folders, binders, and any accessories you can throw at it. Not only does it provide excellent padding for your laptop or other devices, it offers great back padding to make it super comfortable for days when you will be carrying it around for an extended period of time. If you are looking for a backpack to carry all of your devices, their accessories, and more, I highly recommend this backpack for you!

Excellent product useful high quality many pockets sturdy lightweight

I got my Synergy backpack today. I put in my Apple MacBook Pro 15.4 and it fits perfectly. At first, I hold the backpack and it weighs a little heavier than my Targus Sport Standard backpack. As I put on my shoulders along with my laptop. I walk around the mall and I find it doesn't weighs or sprain my back or shoulders. Nice design and style!!! It has two main compartments, which are useful to put extra notebooks or magazines. It has plenty of pockets that can be use in any ways you like---mouse, cables, battery, etc. And I got this backpack on sale...

I am a high school student who takes a laptop and more with them to school, so I needed something good. I found this. It fits all of my stuff, and has some room left. The bottom folds down inside to create an area for the bag to stand up. It is durable and comfortable.

I bought this for my husband for a Christmas gift. He loved it. So many pockets for all of his things. Nice enough space for both his laptop and his tablet. Room for his phone pens and pencils etc. He really.Ike that the bottom of the backpack has a cushion so his laptop won’t slam on the ground if his backpack falls.

I've had it for just over a month now and its holding up great. I take my laptop back and forth from work and normally leave the backback near the door when I'm not using it. My biggest fear is having someone sit on the bag or accidentally kick it. Since I purchased this bag, that is no longer a fear. It holds up great and has lots of room. The only trade off is that its bulky, but I can live with that.

I've been using this backpack for almost 8 years (1 month shy). The zipper on the laptop compartment finallay gave out on me. I have put this backpack through some heavy IT hauling. Cables, accessories, external hardrives, and sometimes 2 laptops. (All at the same time!!!!) I would say I would get it to close to 25lbs of stuff in it, if not more. I hope this one holds out like the last. (Part# GA-7305-14)

After the zippers on my old back pack gave out, I bought a another $25 bag from Walmart. However, after reading reviews on here and seeing the bag was on sale, I returned the Walmart bag and bought this one. 1. When loaded, the stiff base keeps the bag upright. 2. Padded back and shoulder straps are comfortable when walking or riding my bike to campus. The shock absorbing straps are great when my bike hits bumps, or when I'm walking down stairs. 3. Durable Design: The zippers are big and made well. Steel cable handle with padding. This bag took a beating when I crashed my bike and slid on the pavement... 4. Quick and easy access to compartments. One on top to store electronic devices. Organizing compartment in front for pens and stuff. Side Pockets can hold water bottles and my umbrella.

This backpack is an excellent choice for those who love the ease of backpacks but it comes with the built in protection for your laptop. It isn't as long as some of the other Swiss Gear backpacks, but for smaller laptops it's a perfect choice because you still have the same storage space etc. And because it is by Swiss Gear, you can be sure that your laptop/books/papers/etc will be protected. Like I said, COLLEGE STUDENT'S DREAM BACKPACK!

I read the other reviews on this product just to see if others agree. And they do! This really is the best backpack ever! A bit pricey but worth more. I love the reinforced handle, epescially when I've filled the main pocket with books. I used it throughout my trip to japan, and it was super useful. I've already recommended it to my sister, and will recommend it to everyone else I know. Brilliant piece of equipment.

i bought this back pack so i can carry my laptop and books at school. it has enough room for all 4 of my books and the laptop pocket fits my 15.5" laptop perfectly. i love this backpack.

I love this bag. The sleeve keeps the laptop in the center of the bag giving it much more protection than your average laptop bag. There are numerous compartments to store your items in and there's a nice compartment for your music player and of course a hole for your earbud cord.

This was the most outstanding purchase I ever made for my laptop. It had enough compartments to carry my project binder, books, laptop and all my other accessories for my laptop. It is not like the other backpacks where the material start to wear after a few uses. This is a very durable product. I recommend this backpack if you need space, compartments and durability.
