I was worried that the airlines would say it was to large to be considered a personal item. At least with Delta they have not said anything to me about bring this as well as a carry on suitcase.

    Good backpack overall

Overall I'm happy with it. However, my old backpack had a more solid base and I could set it down anywhere and it would stand by itself. This one falls over so you have to lean it against something.

    A Swiss Gear Disappointment

After 6 months of use this one had 2 spots where the seam let loose. Previously Swiss Gear has served us well. This one fell apart quickly.

I wanted a backpack to haul my stuff the quarter mile to and from work each day. The good news is my back doesn't hurt. The bad news is I now have marks on my inner biceps from where the bag digs in constantly. If you have a smaller frame, the shoulder straps may do you in.

    good while it lasted.

I bought this bag about 3.5 years ago after I had bought a decent bag from Ogio that was ripping apart. My expectations were high for a swiss gear bag. I used it for my laptop which is 15 inches, sizable, but still within the limits suggested. a few weeks ago, the zipper on the laptop section became undone, the chain from one of the zippers was bent and let the zipper out. I could not get it zipped up again. I tried calling swissgear but I was out of warranty and they would not even touch the bag, I offered to pay for repair. Had to get it fixed at a seamstress for 20 bucks, and not sure how long the zipper will last as they didnt put a new zip in, but rather just fixed the old one. Either way if it wasnt for that I would be happy with this bag, but when you pay for a quality backpack, you expect it to last. I had a Jansport bag for 12+ years before my ogio backpack and that still was going strong, but I decided to get a better bag because it was so old.

    Great bag....For the first year

I loved this bag at first, and the build quality seemed pretty good. After having it a little over a year and a half though (purchased Jan. 7th 2015), the stitching on the bottom has started to come loose to the point where things such as my laptop power cord are now exposed. This is just from normal daily use commuting by car and bus to work and some out of town traveling.

    Good design but poor materials

I've been using the pack for about 6 months. The bottom is plastic coated fabric. After a couple months the plastic started pealing off. I've had a couple seams fail. The nylon fabric unravels and the seam comes apart. I like the design. It holds everything I need and more. I just wish it was made from better materials.

Some parts of bag are low quality!

Bag is great with the exception of the plastic pull tabs used to tighten the shoulder straps on the backpack. The rings cracked within the first few weeks of use. I use the bag to transport computer and iPad to and from work which is relatively light duty. i would either eliminate the plastic ring or redesign them to provide additional strength.

I returned this backpack because the shoulder straps were too wide, and hurt my arms. Although I loved everything else about it.

    Piece of junk

I bought this pack a day before a four month business trip to China. My first time picking it up with the laptop in it, all the stitching tore out of the shoulder strap. Then one of the zippers broke apart. By the time I got home, it was outside of Best Buy's return period, so I'm left holding the (worthless) bag.
