hung it up,plugged it in after installing brackett not much to set up very easy

$80 at Best Buy, haven't found it anywhere else for less, doesn't go on sale. It's the only one of its kind. Note: it's not advertised as having a cool-touch exterior (a deliberate design choice for some heated appliances) but it doesn't get real warm anyway. Also, the dimensions listed online make it seem like a monster, but it's not even as big as a breadbox. The ease of cleanup is why I sprang for this: flip a dial, the oil drains through a fine-mesh filter into an airtight, lidded, heavy-duty plastic pan, slide that out and put it into the refrigerator for another day, and put the parts in the d/w. The basket handle folds down and into itself, then into the fryer itself, so storing the entire unit is not an origami fight with my cabinet. Also missing from the online description is its temp dial. Some pages say "Temps: one", which is wrong-o. Heatup to 360° took about 4 mins. The see-through lid was overtaken by condensation sometimes, but at least I could tell if the oil was fully bubbling top to bottom around the food. To wit, after cooking 16 shaggy, breaded chicken cutlets (about 2 mins each, in batches of 4 or 5), the oil loss (absorbed by the food or drained off after cooking) was minimal. After chicken and chips, I replaced maybe 1 cup prior to filtering the oil and dropping risen yeast beignets. All right, all right, all riiight. So far, worth every penny.

This product fries food as expected, with the oil reaching temperature in short order. The quantity that can be fried is on the small side, so this is better for frying appetizers and small quantities of food. The clean up process is great. The auto drain feature is the best feature, and the second best is that the product can be disassembled and washed, piece by piece, or even put in the dishwasher. Strained oil can be reused, saving money. Im glad I purchased an item with these features.

The recycling oil feature is great. I just wish it was a little bigger because you can only fry 1-2 servings at a time. It works great if you are frying french fries but if you need to deep fry a ball of food like a "papa rellena", you can add a little more oil that the maximum and it will fry good. It is really big for such a small amount of food you can fry. Other than that it heats up quick and is easy to clean.

Used several times and performs well. Heats quickly. Oil filter system works great. Takes less room than previous one.

This product is really comfortable to use, but it is little bit small if you wanna make large portion. I can put only 4-5 wings on each time.

The oil filtration system in this fryer is great. It is easy to clean the oil and store it for the next use. The temp is consistent even with a lot of use.

I have used this device several times before writing this review..I love everything about it. It holds a temperature really well,is super easy to keep clean, and the built in oil filter is outstanding..I highly recommend this item to anyone looking for a great fryer at a great price...

Our old fryer wasn't getting hot enough and everything came out greasy. This unit is right on temp and everything is crisp and hot. Cleanup will be great since most of it goes in the dishwasher. We'll never buy a cheap fryer again, too much problems.

This deep fryer is just what I needed. It is well made. It has a nice feature that I have not seen on any other deep fryer which is really handy. The grease can be automatically strained & drained into a grease container at the bottom of the fryer, where the grease can be stored for future use! This is so handy because I don't have to manually strain the grease myself & then put it in a container! All the parts except the heating element are dishwasher safe. If you need a fryer for a large family, I would suggest you buy a larger deep fryer with 2 baskets. This deep fryer is the perfect size for me because I am only cooking for my daughter and me. I am happy with this purchase!

Works great .Well worth the money.Easy to clean and use.

I purchased this deep fryer when the one I'd had before was no longer usable. This one is fantastic; the oil filtration and storage is perfect. The fact that everything but the heating element is completely washable is a bonus. Cleanup is quite easy after the oil drains out and I no longer have to worry about random food bits in the fryer that may affect the flavor of the current batch of fried goodies.

Love this fryer wish it was a little bigger although it loooks bigger than it actually is perfect for frying small batches of food.

I have owned this model for a month now and it works great! I have fried catfish, fries, and chicken fried steaks. All homemade by the way. Had no issues. Fries like a champ. Strained the grease as described. I am very impressed. I would recommend to anyone that wants a good, solid, fryer.

This a good fryer that replaced one that quit working .This unit has a tank for easy clean up.Filters the oil as well.

Heats up quickly and maintains temperature. Makes storing cooking oil easy and clean-up fast. Would have given 5 stars if it had a timer built in.

My only beef is the plastic tray. I love the temp control and the oversized basket

Works amazing, cleans super easy w the filtration system. I always have clean oil and the inside is really easy to clean by hand. The only issue is the oil level is not high enough for thicker items. Maximum is probably 1.5" thick in terms of items you want to fry. If you have big chicken pieces you will have to turn them over halfway. You can't put extra oil on it because it would leak the oil from the reserve container when you finish. As far as size it's small, fits a little more than a fry daddy.

I really like this fryer. I like how it has the opening to drain down the oil and store it in the refrigerator. It's not as big as I thought it was online and heats up super fast and I really enjoy this item

The deep fryer is reall easy to clean. I like the auto drain and filter feature, it makes it much easier to keep it clean. the biggest draw backs for me are that it is quite tall and the fryer itself is not very big so you are cooking multiple small batches.
