No monthly fee!

I bought it and set it up and everything seemed to be working fine. After two days the screen went blue and would not work- I had to do a hard reset - googled it and everything was back to working but I had lost everything I had recorded to watch. Another glitch is I have an over the air antenna and get a specific channel that I use regularly and for some reason the Tablo will not pick up that particular channel. I have two television systems in my home and one is a smart LG television and the other is a Roku stick hooked to a projector system. The Tablo interface is better on the Roku system - I thought they would be the same but they are not. Have had it for a little while and the problems have seemed to go away for now. It seems to be a very glitchy system and I would not pay full price for it. I don’t recomend it but if there are no better options??? It’s up to you

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is always buffing and when I want to watch the DVR my library buffing and when I'm watching a program it goes back to the main screen if I had the opportunity to return this I would and the major thing it is not free you have to connect to a internet service so you're using your data I call it golden eggs besides that I would not recommend I've been told it's being upgraded well do something about the complaints that I have too late to return

I have a hd homerun device running with plex and I can stream my shows anywhere add a recording from outside the home network, download my recordings to my device to view them anywhere I go.

Before, one had to run coax cables everywhere. Nice to eliminate that. Resolution is occasionally 'wavy' but not really distracting. Overall, pretty satisfied.

This makes the device highly limited given that our large living room tv is Samsung. There is some information about the fact that "soon" it will be.

Posted .Hey KentR- We're working really hard on the Samsung TV app. While you wait, you can still use Tablo by purchasing and connecting an inexpensive streaming device from Roku, Fire TV, or Android TV.

However, the Tablo app freezes quite often. Sometimes when first opening the app I have to back out and try 2 maybe 3 times to get it to open. I have good wifi signal with gig speed so there shouldn't be a problem. The weather also affects how good it works.

Installed a roof antenna for the best reception. Setup was a breeze as it walks you through. Well over 100 channels scanned plus extras that comes with TabloTV provide plenty for viewing. Using Firestick for most of our TVs. Just waiting for Apple TV app to provide OTA TV for all our televisions. Good product.
