As long as you have the ability to receive channels OTA, this product is great. Yes, it’s another app you have to access on your smart TV but for me it works near flawlessly. Interface is great and picture quality is amazing. For context I am using an antenna externally mounted near my roofline and the Tablo is connected via Ethernet.

This product works as advertised and we have had good experiences with viewing and recording the shows we like. Setup was a little tricky but once I figured out that I needed to turn off VPN to make connection to the device it went smoothly. I do feel the response times to inputs from the remote are a little slow and if you are viewing a show real-time the ability to see where you are in the show is not visual, you just need to guess as all you see is a timeline. But overall it does what I need it to do and have been happy with purchase.

I am having difficulty adding this device to my network. I'm almost ready to give up, as everything else I have connects without any issues.

Helps remove antenna cables from the living room. Sometimes it has trouble with signal even though it is in the “good” range. Overall good though.

Not very stable. Won't connect half the time both to my Roku Ultra or my Samsung TV. Fails often when trying to watch a show while its recording. When it works, its ok... just ok.

A great tool for being able to record live TV. Glad we bought it.

With cheap interior antennas I got about 166/155 channels, quality with Apple tv is close to 4k , now I have two Tablos , one facing Los Angeles tower and other one facing San Bernardino tower.( about 52/35 miles away from towers)

Worked OK for 6 months. Just OK, Lots of disconnecting itself when watching on Roku. Had to reset it a lot. Now the power supply died for no reason. Not very durable.

The Table Gen 4 Is certainly a step forward in the OTA streaming players, replacing my now discontinued Recast device. The Tablo setup was relatively easy and connected to WiFi quickly although I found the best results with an Ethernet cable connection. Wifi was a little clippy on my Tablo tablet app. I saw an increase from 17 to 40 channels locally. The new schedule program is fairly robust but more detail in the shows to be recorded listing would be a plus. All in all, a great purchase for those wishing to shed cable TV.

Terrible. Requires near daily attention to keep it working, and even then that is only 50% successful. App problems, won't stay connected to internet...basically I just wake up every day to 'what now??'.

Absolutely love the Tablo! Pretty easy to hook up and I'm now streaming for free! Very happy with it.

I really like the 4th gen but find it suspicious that the hardware died after 2 weeks of warranty running out. Called tablo support and they sent me instructions for a hard reset that didnt work has no blue light at all. Now im out 99$ dollars what a bummer. Tablo said they have to talk with there team to send me a new one they said they extend the warrenty 30 days after your 1 year warrenty is up, hope so i really want another one will see what happens. They do have awesome support his name is ricky.

Good for cutting the cord , only has 2 tuners and ni app support for apple tv and Samsung or lg . You will need to purchase a fire stick or similar device to use with those tvs.

Able to watch and record local tv on 3 tvs. Easy to use and setup. Has a guide like cable tv just have to download the tablo app.

After a week of no problems Tablo started to crash while watching live tv. I would restart Tablo and would crash again about 20 minutes later. Would make sure both Tablo and Roku software was updated. Still had problems and call Tablo support. After following their suggestions Tablo worked for about an hour and then crashed again while watching live tv screen. Will be returning Tablo for money back. If it had worked as advertised this would have solved my indoor antenna reception problems.

It's a great way to beat cable and streaming for locals. It unfortunately didn't work for me, I couldn't reach the towers from the valley I'm living in.

Didn't work on 3 different smart tv's. A 2012 Samsung 6500 TV and 2022/2023 Sony X85K and X90A Bravia. Keeping it connected to wifi was another issue. Their Support replied with a link to the manufacturer side of which I had already visited. I also visited other sites and learned all Sony tv owners had issues with Tablo and this been going on a long time. Bottom line: You will have better results, no app to deal with or time wasted for sure as I did with a $19 HD antenna I found on Amazon.

It’s a great idea. If it could be improved it would be great. It’s rather slow and tends to freeze up quite often. If it was improved I would give it 5 stars.

Very good dual tv tuner for the price. Wish the tv guide had the ability to go back if a show was missed to watch. Dvr is easy to use
