Great product, essy to use. Good value, would recommend

This little device was easy to set up and has a functional app to use on my phone and with my Firestick. Great tool for time shifting TV shows and skipping by ads, all with no subscription costs.

The tuner is not as sensitive as my TVs. I have tried the unit on different antenna connections in my home. All of the TVs in the locations are able to receive the local stations. The Tablo missed several stations during the scan. In some locations, the Tablo may capture the channel, but will not show the channel and reports a weak signal. I did try a local amp, to no avail.

Works well for what it is. Currently only apps on Android phones (I think I phone as well) and fire TV /Roku can view live or recorded shows but they work well. Don't expect tivo-like ability to quickly change channels while viewing listings or play directly to TV, but good for watching after recording is complete and has reasonably responsive skip ahead features. No monthly fees are why I went with this.

I can have clear channels and see other tv shows i love. Best part i can record shows.

My Alurtek of 3+ years was rebooting randomly. I checked for replacements and found the Tablo on Best Buy’s site. Setup was relatively easy. You do need to connect an Ethernet cable to your router. No Wi-Fi. The interface is well laid out and much better than my old box. It records by program title and not by channel and time. I operate it through my Roku and the Tablo app. There are no monthly fees for the guide which is good. Overall a good product.

Was looking for a reliable way to record OTA programs on a DVR. Sorry to report these recent problems: Program guide is not reliable, often can't record programs. Error messages frequently. I am now looking for alternatives.

If you get good reption great product. No reception in lower level so this steamed perfect from my main level which gets very good reception.

This is a great product. Essentially, a digital VCR. But it works very well. Highly recommend.

Best purchase to cut the cable! Works seamless and is so easy to use my mom can operate tablo and record shows.

The old Tablo worked perfect. This one is worthless. It will not stay on a channel. You must continually reset to the channel. Tablo stated "NO refund" for a product that does not work

I had the original Tablo and it worked great, but this one will not work with my Roku! If I record a show, I can watch it with the Tablo app on my tablet, but not on the TV. After finding an online forum, it seems that I'm not the only one having this problem. I wish I had my old one back!

Awesome product. It does exactly what it is advertised to do. Great picture and sound.

Excellent onscreen menu interface, but connection to Tablo server and Tablo app is unreliable. This is very disappointing, since I really like the product. It worked great for about 24 hours, then it dropped the connection with an onscreen notification "unknown error". Subsequently, the phone app and desktop PC would not log into the Tablo server to validate my account. After several attempts over a few hours, it finally validated my account allowing me to attempt reconnection to the Tablo device. However, it continually failed to reconnect with the notification “unknown error”. If I had to speculate, there are two issues. One with the Tablo server (phone app would not reconnect), and the other with the Tablo device potentially overheating (it gets quite warm) to drop the Wi-Fi connection. Unfortunately, now I know why the Tablo app has 2.4 stars on the Google Play store. If this had proven reliable, I would have rated 5 stars. But due to unreliability, I am rating 2 stars (instead of 1 star) since I really liked the onscreen menu interface when it worked. Returned for a no hassle refund with the 15-day grace period.

Really nice DVR for the money, Am even able to pick up a couple channels I wasn't able to get with my old Recast

The idea of the tablois great. The actual product is a frustrating, poorly functioning piece of garbage. Don't buy this unless you like constantly resetting and reprogramming over and over again. If you ignore the negative reviews hopefully you won't have problem because neither Best Buy nor Tablo will offer appropriate support. Watch your return deadline like a hawk and if you have even a tiny problem return the unit right away or you'll get ripped off. They like to tell you contact customer service but contacting customer service hasn't resolved my issue after multiple times. Apparently they think I enjoy giving them tech support for free. Don't do this unless you're desperate.

Tablo is easy to set up. Mine works well with my Apple TV. It needs a good antenna site to get the most channels. I’ve been able to stream over 120 channels. Thus not needing to pay for cable channels.
