I can watch all my antenna TV shows on all the TVs in my home and this one is not suffering all the same overheating issues as the last generation models. The interface is nicer looking. It also does not have a subscription, which is really nice, but they also took away remote viewing. I’m a little bit bummed about that, but it’s not a huge issue for me.

Tablo is easy to set up. Mine works well with my Apple TV. It needs a good antenna site to get the most channels. I’ve been able to stream over 120 channels. Thus not needing to pay for cable channels.

The product works as advertised; however, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. If you lose power, you lose antenna service to all connected TVs. The same goes for Internet access, if you lose internet access you lose antenna service. Other than those two things, this was a very good idea.

This is my first OTA recording device so I can't compare it to any others but so far so good. After cutting the cord I found I missed live and local tv so I looked into antennas. then I missed pausing, rewinding and recording. This Tablo takes care of that for what I consider to be an affordable price. It doesn't seem to have very good tuners in it and the signal is split between the 2 tuners but I splurged on a good antenna and now can get a great signal split between Tablo and 5 TVs. The app takes a while to load and each channel does as well, but the ability to record shows that aren't available for streaming is great! The cons are the guide is clunky and takes time to load and most times you have to start over at the lowest number channels when you go back in. I do miss the ability to just surf the channels but it is an app. The pros are the way it's laid out to show your favorite channels and what is on each channel at the time, but if you choose a show from that screen the option to record it doesn't seem to come up. I also wish that you could browse the shows or the guide without leaving the channel you have on. There are no fees for the guide. But overall I'm very happy with it and hope that it gets even better over time with updates.

Terrible. Requires near daily attention to keep it working, and even then that is only 50% successful. App problems, won't stay connected to internet...basically I just wake up every day to 'what now??'.

With Tablo I was able to get a few more OTA channels than with just my antenna. However, the Tablo app freezes quite often. Sometimes when first opening the app I have to back out and try 2 maybe 3 times to get it to open. I have good wifi signal with gig speed so there shouldn't be a problem. The weather also affects how good it works.

Excellent onscreen menu interface, but connection to Tablo server and Tablo app is unreliable. This is very disappointing, since I really like the product. It worked great for about 24 hours, then it dropped the connection with an onscreen notification "unknown error". Subsequently, the phone app and desktop PC would not log into the Tablo server to validate my account. After several attempts over a few hours, it finally validated my account allowing me to attempt reconnection to the Tablo device. However, it continually failed to reconnect with the notification “unknown error”. If I had to speculate, there are two issues. One with the Tablo server (phone app would not reconnect), and the other with the Tablo device potentially overheating (it gets quite warm) to drop the Wi-Fi connection. Unfortunately, now I know why the Tablo app has 2.4 stars on the Google Play store. If this had proven reliable, I would have rated 5 stars. But due to unreliability, I am rating 2 stars (instead of 1 star) since I really liked the onscreen menu interface when it worked. Returned for a no hassle refund with the 15-day grace period.

Works as advertised, Only one software glitch on Jan 1, 2024 that was fixed within hours. Convenient to use with UX first design. Obvious navigation with helpful hints. Bought the tablo to fix an Amazon FireTV where schedule had frequent crashes despite updates. Plus can stream the antenna without rewiring the house.

Can’t get programs once I leave my home. I was not aware that I had to have a smart TV in order for use Tablo

If you get good reption great product. No reception in lower level so this steamed perfect from my main level which gets very good reception.

I had the original Tablo and it worked great, but this one will not work with my Roku! If I record a show, I can watch it with the Tablo app on my tablet, but not on the TV. After finding an online forum, it seems that I'm not the only one having this problem. I wish I had my old one back!

Extremely simple setup process. Love the built in amplification feature. Fast response to controls. I have a rotor to aim my tower mount antenna and when I turn to a different broadcast area I simply rescan channels on the Tablo and update the guide. Can't beat antenna channels throughout the house with only one coax run!

Setup was interesting as I had to install twice. Then 2 days later had to reset the Tablo. Seems to work most of the time. I have to reboot it every other day that I use it. I am using the Tablo app thru the Firestick on my Samsung TV. My internet is Wi-Fi with 1GB Specturm router approximately 10' from the Tablo. I don't use it a lot because I have over 100 channels that are part of Samsung, plus the Firestick is thru a company that has other channels also. I am able to control the Tablo with the Samsung and Firestick remotes.

I purchased this to connect the antenna in the attic to my TV's without running cable through out the house. Setup and connecting to Wi-Fi was easy. Price was reasonable. Not Compatible With All TV Brands. Do research before purchasing. I'm currently looking for a product to replace this.

if unit loses power you will have to Re-pair it with your cell phone only since unit works through Wi-Fi in your home quality is not quite as good as going direct from an HDMI source but very acceptable, even though Tablo say this unit can be set to record shows with the built in DVR system and 128 gigs of memory for Programs in the future, when I tried it it missed a couple shows I had preprogrammed this could have been due to the power failure loss during a local weather related storm that cut power to my home

Easy to set up and it does not take long to install. You do have to call for help on the app to set up your tv.

Works great for my use case. The only issue I have in one of my old Roku sticks is that some channels do not cover the whole area of my tv and are pushed to a corner. Restarting the roku stick mostly fixes it 99% of the time. Being able to watch and record local news on my phone is awesome.

bought tablo from BB on 11/13/23. followed instructions, couldn't get it set up. looked up install on their website, youtube, asked installation question on BestBuy, nothing worked. reached out to their support team on 11/23/23, after a series of up & back emails, the rep told me some of their tablo 4th generation 2 tuners have a 'glitch'. put me thru a series of diagnostics, nothing worked. finally, after 14 days of testing, i returned it on 11/27/23. i wrote to the CEO & the head of Customer Service of Nuvyyo (their parent company).  told them my story. asked if, after all that, they would provide a new tablo for me for the inconvenience. NOPE. this was sold for $79 and b/c of their glitch, i wasted time going to and from the store and 14 days of trial and error. GOOD LUCK IF YOU HAVE ANY WARRANTY ISSUES IF THIS IS THE WAY THEY TREAT A POTENTIAL NEW CUSTOMER.
