This little device is well worth the money, the interface is similar to TiVo’s. Watching and recording is easily done. The video quality is perfect and initial setup simple. If you want to record of the air, this is the device.

This thing blends streaming with my over the aie channels theiugh my antenna. Setuo could be a little easier, but for the orice youre getting amazing TV selection with zero subscription fees. Its a winner for me.

Easy to set up and provides an excellent quality picture on local channels. This device is perfect for people wanting to save on cable bills. Since my TV is mounted to the wall I could not attach a coaxial cable and this device connects through Wi-Fi equipment.

Works good so far. Did experience some issues setting it up. We paired this with a HDTV antenna that is up on the roof using an old Direct TV Dish. Reception is good. The system does have some "lag in it" frequently.

This is a game changer. Just get a good antenna. Setup is quick and easy.

We use an outdoor TV antenna to receive free TV. This Tablo has enabled us to record our favorite programs to view at a later time. It works great! And we can watch channels that we can’t pick up locally. Would recommend!

THis think is meh... When it works, it works just fine. Problem with it is, it only works probably 80% of the time. Usually just hangs up, I have to completely unplug this thing at least 2x per week.

I wasn't thrilled with this. Item. I was hoping that I would be able to pick up all the basic local channels. Just more useless ones.

The 4th Generation has numerous bugs and is unstable. In many ways, it is a huge step backwards from the previous generation of this device (of which I own two). It often inexplicably fails to record shows (and signal level is NOT the issue), so it cannot be depended on to record important shows. The absence of a Windows app to view content is unforgiveable, especially when said app exists for the previous generation of the device! Tablo is under new ownership and the new owners seem to be taking the wrong direction. Don't take my word for it...read the professional review by Jared Newman published December 28th 2023 which tells the true story.

Great product. Make sure you get good signal OTA. I was having issue with Roku but looks like they just released patch to address. Fire TV, Chromecast, iOS devices work great. I wish fire tv and Chromecast apps UI was more like iOS because it is hard to check for conflicts on future recordings. iOS app show figure recordings in sequence and you can easily find conflicts if you are recording more then 2 shows. Fast fwd of commercials works great and of the many shows I have recorded I only had one failed recording. Not sure why but I have recorded a bunch of stuff and my wife has also without issue. Again key thing make sure you have good OTA signal testing directly to a TV before you try it. So many complain about it who have poor OTA signal and that is not fault of this device.

Item defected . No power when plug in. Night another from Amazon which works immediately. Not eligible to return after purchase 19 days. Even though on line chat service agent gave me case number to promise successfully return on store, but store supervusor still have me trouble, I need to proove chat services agents promise to get return. If I know the store will be so troubled me, I won't drove and pay Parking fee , I would use credit cards return protection to get refunded. Most of important lesson I learned, is NO MORE buying from Best Buy.

Pretends to work. Got it connected to 1 gig router, so it has adequate wifi. Says if found 104 channels when set up. Loads program guide so you can see the channels. REFUSES to play shows. Select watch live, watch the spinner for a while, & it skips back to the guide. Useless. Web says to fix it by rebooting Tablo, router, & TV. Might work a bit, then quits.

Works surprisingly well. Easy to set up & use, has sufficient DVR storage built in and the tuner paired with an inexpensive Insignia indoor antenna really pull all your local TV stations in. Great unit!

This DVR works great. Easy interface and reliable. However, you cant watch TV out of your home — which is a HUGE disadvantage in a day where streaming is accessible anywhere. Remvoing three stars until Tablo updates this.

Have to reboot too often. Still need refinement, would not recommend.

Excellent for streaming. We couldn’t get channel 7, even with an antenna. Bought this and it comes in GREAT!!!!! So does 180 more channels

This is a cool little device. So easy to setup and interface is cool. I was concerned about picture quality but I was surprised to see that it's pretty close to cable. It has a small footprint and can be hung up. Very pleased with my purchase.

Enjoying recording OTA broadcast and watching later and fast forwarding through ALL the commercials. Needs bigger internal memory. Added a 2TB hard drive for lots of recording time. Software needs a continue watching feature to make going back to last show that was watching to finish watching.

This is the second one in less than 6 months first one would not power on but had multiple issues and multiple tickets with tablo customer support it was down more than it was working in the 6 months. The second one has been installed only a few weeks and is already having major issues again seems to be a theme with this product. The concept and theory is good but tablo's execution and delivery just doesn't seem to be there. Save your money look for an alternative like I'm doing right now.

Three plus days trying to get Tablo to work a futile effort. I could confirm my router connected with Tablo but android phone 4g said would not connect so could not use unit. Called tech. Courteous. Suggested turn off VPN. Did not solve issue.Suggested reboot router did not resovle issue. Unlesd one is really tech savvy do not purchase a Tablo. Instead purchased a Aluratek at Bestbuy. Very easy to setup. Intuitive to program...
