Great way to record over the air tv broadcast, with a good outdoor antenna record all favorite shows! Get this and tell your cable provider to wipe their a*# with their converter box’s and HD fees

I purchased this device for recording and having a DVR for our OTA local channels. It works great! I love it. You only need one antenna to the main tv and can stream to multiple tvs using your network.

Works great sometimes. Then loses connection and you have to do setup all over again. Especially when you wanted it to record a big game. Happened too many times for me to keep this ****.

Just purchased after reading all the positive reviews however I installed it and found it crashes every minute to 2 minutes. Look on Tablo website and find they are having this problem. They say they are working on a fix. I will wait a couple of weeks before I return it to see if they actually fix it.

Reason I purchased for recording live tv shows. It did record but when we went to play back the show it was very small on the tv screen. Really unwatchable. We have Samsung tvs. We called the Tablo help line. They were aware and at present not fixable. So we returned it. We were so disappointed as this was my husbands Christmas gift and we did want reasonable recording device that we did not have to pay a monthly subscription.

After owning this device for a little over two years, it suddenly stopped working. No power, no blue light, DOA. Hardware reliability is poor. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this device to anyone.

The idea of the tablois great. The actual product is a frustrating, poorly functioning piece of garbage. Don't buy this unless you like constantly resetting and reprogramming over and over again. If you ignore the negative reviews hopefully you won't have problem because neither Best Buy nor Tablo will offer appropriate support. Watch your return deadline like a hawk and if you have even a tiny problem return the unit right away or you'll get ripped off. They like to tell you contact customer service but contacting customer service hasn't resolved my issue after multiple times. Apparently they think I enjoy giving them tech support for free. Don't do this unless you're desperate.

Used for streaming on Firestick 4k, works great and no more broadcast fees.

This thing is not worth the money at any cost. It goes out and needs to be reinstalled. I downloaded an upgrade last week it worked even less. Today I put on my tablo and blink, blink, blink, around and around. I reset. Blink blink blink.2 and 1/2 hours blink blink blink. Around around around. I unplug and uninstall. And start all over. Blink blink blink. Back into the box. Perhaps I can sell it at a garage sale for a buck, no that's asking to much

I cut the cord and dropped cable. The Tablo lets me record 50 hours and 2 programs at the same time. Bonus I can watch on my iPad anywhere in the house. Great when I exersize.

Turns out perfect..so far no problem plenty movies, locals CBS NBC abc .great to record shows!

Nice system, easy setup, no current Vizio app but works well with the Fire Stick app. Can watch on all devices on the home network!

I've had the device since November 2023. There are major issues with core functionality: 1. On many channels the video will freeze while the audio keeps playing for both live TV and for recordings. 2. When you try to fast forward more than about a minute at a time on longer recordings (like a football game, basektball game, or movie), the player will not resume playing, presenting you with the still image and a loading spinner. Besides these core issues, there are several user experience issues. 1. Navigation to recordings includes extra unnecessary steps. You have to navigate past a "show the most recent recording" to get to a list of recurring recordings. Just show me the whole list of recordings and I am smart enough to pick which I want to watch. 2. Setting up a recording is about as round-about as watching one. The options for pre-show and post-show buffers aren't on the main recording screen, so you have to go searching for them. This is the second over-the-air DVR I have purchased, and while it is better than the first I bought, it still leaves much to be desired. I would not purchase again and would return the one I have if I could.

I think this is a great value. Free guide and dvr for the $99 device purchase price. It took some time for some of the channels' guide data to load but has been steady since the first two days. One piece of advice is to try toggling the "antenna amplification" toggle in the software. Turning this off gave me several channels that wouldn't pick up with this setting turned on. It may be because I already have an amplified antenna plugged into the Tablo. Highly recommend. At time of publication, the AppleTV app isn't ready but am using on iPad and Roku for now.

works for 4 tvs in my house. Eliminated the need to run cables to all tvs in house to antenna.

It’s not what I thought it was. It didn’t do what I needed it to do.

I love using Tablo and it’s amazing to be able to use it in any room w/o cable and to record shows. However, it has its flaws—sometimes it doesn’t pick up the signal to channels but I still like it over cable.

Great little tuner. Was able to rid of my antenna in living room.connected to my antenna on 2nd floor,and no more running wire to living room tv.
