I was really looking forward to recording broadcast TV shows and NFL games, BUT, it is buffering about every 6-10 seconds! I first tried using my Wifi, then switched to an ethernet connection, but that didn't help. I have a fast enough internet, so I don't know what the problem is. They have many negative reviews, so this Christmas gift just may have to go back to Santa's workshop!

Sorry you're running into this.
Buffering issues tend to be on your local network, as opposed to the internet speeds from your service provider. While you're connected to your router via Ethernet, there may be interference between your router and your other viewing devices. We'd recommend reaching out to our technical support team, they should be able to help.

Don't buy if own a roku

Don't have to run coaxial cable all over the house. I use it with my Amazon Fire Stick with no issues. Cons: Unlike previous versions of Tablo (black box) this DOES NOT work OUTSIDE the home. This was one of the main reasons I went with the Tablo, so I could watch it while traveling. Huge disappointment that this wasn't better labled. All reviews and instructions I found before my purchase gave info on how to connect outside the home. It took some serious digging to finally figure out the new iteration of the Tablo couldn't do this. Not cool. I would've looked at other options had I known this wasn't possible Does not work well with wifi--constantly loses connection. Works much better with an ethernet connection.

First is speed. It does not respond quickly to inputs. Second, it is unfortunate that they don’t have apps for LG Samsung and other TVs. Third, Using it through Amazon fire stick has been a pain.

We do not currently have a date we can share, but Apple TV will be the first to launch later this fall. That said, we're also actively releasing firmware and app updates to improve overall performance and speed so your experience should continue to improve with time :)
Tablo - tuner usage

However, it randomly resets back to our Roku home screen and we have not been able to determine if it is caused by the Tablo, the Roku, our Wi-Fi, or our internet.

Tuners are weak

Unfortunately the receivers/tuners are not as good as that in my Sony TV. Therefore I couldn't relocate my antenna to a better reception spot in the house.
