My son worked hours on setting this up on a TV, which we previously had connnected to a Super Box. We had the antenna, but never did get it connected. Connected it back up to the Super Box. The reason I wanted Tablo is because of the recording feature. Oh well.....

For older non wiz kid age it took time to figure this product out, I continue to get educated on it’s ins as and outs. A better description should be included, I came close to returning it and not sure I won’t.

So far so good. Living in an apartment I need to find a better or stronger antennae. It is nice to watch recorded things again and not paying a fortune while doing it.

i went from amazon OTA recast dvr, to this product that was suppose to be highly recommended , but from my experience since i purchased this, I would not recommend this to nobody. keeps buffering, freezing up, missing timers, and for the past 3 weeks cant set any recording a show options.. for reference i ahve spectrum 1gig fiber internet, that i have hard wired with ethernet , into the back of this dvr. so i will not recomend this.

I didn't have all the parts to it. I was really expecting this to work for me. Because where I live has bad reception.

Love it! Easy install, quick response and works on all my devices! Switched from another brand and this is definitely an upgrade and improvement.

Easy to set up and use... you just need a smartphone or a tablet. This was a very nice replacement for my aging OTA DVR.

This device maybe recommended for use if it is static or in a static location connected to an antenna. However, for use in a remote locaiton or on-the go, it requires reprogramming and rescanning and it seems sensitive to the location of the device by zip code. Also, there are no applications to watch TV on real computers such as Windows-based or MacOS-based computers. This device only seems to work on smartphones, tablets and maybe some "smart" TVs such as Roku, FireTV, ChromeCast, AirTV SlingTV devices and maybe AppleTV. Goal was to use this device like at home and at hotels, schools, or public places with wi-fi connection in conjunction with a connected hotspot providing the wi-fi connectivity. Only thing is to connect a portable antenna. Though it can work this way, it required resetting things and reprogramming things and seemed too complicated to get things working again if one changes one's location. It seemed sensitive to the location of the device even though it was programmed at another location (different zip code). It should not have been this difficult. So the price was $80 but returned it due to its shortcomings especially not being able to watch TV on a real computer. SiliconDust HDHomeRun works better --but it does not have wi-fi option-- and maybe even the CordCutter from Hauppauge --ethernet and / or wifi-- may be more suited as both have applications for real computers (Hauppauge only for Windows).

Turns my antenna tv into perfect picture without tiling or freezing. I can set recordings for playback later. Great little item !!

It’s great that they offer no-fee guide data and that they have a wide range of supported streaming apps. Maybe other streaming players do better but the Roku implementation is absolutely horrible. First, on the non-HD channels, the screen would be really small. After doing some research, I found out that Tablo is expecting the end device to do some transcoding and the small Roku stick I had wasn’t good enough so I upgraded to Roku Ultra. That worked for the non-HD channels…great…or so I thought. Now the app just randomly crashes (an hour show, I might get fully kicked out 4 times to the Roku Home Screen). I held on hope for a couple months that they’d fix this with firmware/app updates but after doing more research, it’s apparent that all these issues have been around for a while.

This is the third one of these I've bought and this one lasted less than a month. It just will not connect to the app any longer. Waste of money.

This product does what it says it does very well. The only reason I didn’t give Tablo 5 stars is that can’t find channels using voice on the remote control

This works great. We ditched satellite and cable. We have an antenna now and use Tablo to connect to our other tvs. We love it!

Does not work well. Connective and user interface have many glitches.
