App does not work on Samsung phone. Will not accept verificationn code to set up account. Cannot set up on laptop as that does not exist for Gen 4. Support is out of country and all they do is ask checklist questions. Talked to several support and they all asked same questions. Returning the unit.

Installed in attic and serves three floors with whole home over-the-air and DVR

1. I have not purchased this model Tablo over the Air DVR, but in the past year I purchased 2 of their network connected DVR's. 2. Tablo's products as a platform are really cool, and generally do what they are supposed to do, but the software that runs them (firmware) and Apps used to watch them, are really buggy, and Tablo generally always have an excuse, something else to blame (like their favorite: Bandwidth), or just never acknowledge problems. 3. But, even with all good intentions, the technical support and general arrogance of the company are where the real frustrations begin. 4. Since Tablo, a Canadian company was acquired by E.W. Scripps in 2022, things have gotten worse, and their products and Apps continue to be buggy and incomplete. 5. Tablo has all but abandoned their existing customer base and have no timeline or plans to fix what were state of the art products just 3 months ago, and now refer to them as "Legacy Models" 6. If you must have a Tablo DVR, I would wait at least 6 months and let them figure things out.

Video freezes. Goes back to menu in the middle of watching a program. It won’t let you change channels within a few minutes of a program ending or starting. I waited too long for this piece of junk to hopefully get update the firmware and now it’s too late to return. I’m stuck with a worthess garbage. I absolutely hate it.

they haven't got all the bugs out yet. Sometimes up to 80% of image was a green screen. Very slow to respond but if they could resolve the image issue I would be very happy with one. The features were exactly what I was looking for.

Had this about two months before it stopped working. It said storage was full so I deleted all my recordings and rebooted. Same thing. Could not watch any live tv. Light stopped working and could not reset tablo. Contacted Tablo via email They were responsive at first and asked for a video showing light not working and how it was plugged in. I sent the video..no response. Sent video again no response. Sent more emails no response. Its been crickets for over a week. They have no interest in fixing the issue for their year warranteed part that lasted two months. Filed a complaint with the attorney general for their company headquarters in Cincinatti Ohio. Will contact best buy and see if they are willing to help support products they sell from companies that won't support their products

I extensively tested the 4th Gen against a four tuner legacy model and two TV's wired directly to the antenna through a splitter. Four tuners or a splitter with 30dB loss should in theory give you a worse signal but that wasn't the case. In test after test the Gen 4 refused to pull in distant channels while the legacy and direct connection would. I can't imagine a 4 tuner Gen 4 would be any better.

I like it. For a lower level techie it meets all of my needs. Ability to watch and record all the local stations (including PBS) without paying $23.50 per month that my local cable tv and other streamers have to charge is big. Works nice though out the house to all TVs. Also, no extra guide charge that was with old Tablo.

4th Gen is lacking. Had Legacy 4 yrs until mast struck by lightning. Replaced with Gen 4, Quad Tuner. We use Roku. 4th Gen does not recognize Roku 14.0.4. Can not get live or recorded OTR to load. Tablo said that techs have been working on it. Scheduling recordings is difficult.

Easy set up, I pulled in 1010 stations in my area. The guide is well done and recording very easy to navigate.

Just bought this Tablo Gen 4 at my local Best Buy and it greatly improved the signal on some of my weaker stations to where they no longer lose signal strength or pixelate. The built in amplifier actually helped my local ABC station and it's sub stations that were fluctuating from good to weak and now it's staying at a good signal...

When everything is perfect like your TV signal, Your operating system (ie Android not Roku) and your router then it actually works as advertised, otherwise it falls short.

Better than Tivo and no ongoing fees! Even connects to Amazon Echo Show 15 making it a full TV

Antenna TV and more. It gets all the channels my antenna gets plus about a dozen more. I guess the extra channels are coming from the internet. Plays back on any device that can run the Tablo app. The device needs to be on the same network as the Tablo, so you can not watch it from remote locations unless you have the ability to remote into your home network Most people do not have this.

It was very easy to set up. Would buy again. Fast shipping.

Really like this but it gets very hot, anyone else have this problem?

Today I purchase this Tablo TV and once I took it home I discovered that it would not work with my smart television set. Tablo does not tell you that this device only works with certain smart TV's via their app and my television is not one of the smart tv's. You can not view programs from this device on your smart phone or tablet when you're away they must be viewed from a device hooked up to your home internet connection. So beware before you buy this device.

It works great, but now we need to update our router.

Was a great purchase, was so easy to set up and use. Love it.
