I've seen a couple of unfavorable reviews. These people don't have either a good over the air Antenna/Reception or their Internet/Lan is subpar! Because this produce works great!

Unless the products are that quirky from one device to another. I am on my second one and as many here have described it, it is junk. It is absolutely frustrating. It is only getting worse over time. Was excited when they had a firmware update. That only made it function worse. Even the android app is about as randomly funtioning as flipping a coin. Not sure why the price is going up when they should be refunding their customers.

There are features in the old app that aren't there in the new one or they don't work the same way. Over all good product and I would buy it again.

When changing channels, Tablo hangs up, and you have to back out to Roku Menu and restart Tablo to view new channel. I was told by Tablo that their Team is working on a Roku App Update. Not a big deal.

Had to uninstall and re-install on my fire tv. Then i went to the channel guide and it said error. May be returning this. Can't really recommend at this time.

I find periodically the Tablo kicks me out of a program I am watching only to allow me to select the TV guide channel and re-enter and continue watching.

Could you connect your Tablo via Ethernet? That should ensure your Tablo has a solid and fast connection to your router.

Also, if you can get away with leaving the antenna amplification disabled, do it. I noticed an improvement in performance with it disabled.

Posted .Great point! Some people will benefit from turning off Tablo's in-line amplifier depending on their antenna setup and proximity to local broadcast towers. And the best part, you only need one Tablo per household since Tablo connects to all the compatible devices in your home.

You have to have wifi, because it connects to your tv through the router via the tablo app. It's just like a DVR for the free channels. All you have to do is plug the antenna into the tuner, and the tuner into the power outlet - and then you go through the guided setup in the tablo app. You can also add an external storage device.

There's no app available for LG TVs that support this model. Even worse the Roku app buffers incessantly. The picture freezes and breaks. I'm consistently able to get good video quality with the iPhone I used to set this up, but nothing else seems to work. Looking online I'm not the only person who's had trouble with their Roku app. I'm going to hold onto this, they're only one good app refresh away from it working, but buyer beware if you buy this for yourself.
