This Targus backpack is a hit or miss depending on your needs. On the plus side, it is light weight but durably constructed. The pack is rather stiff due to the strong materials used. Unlike a Swiss Gear bag, which is already noticeably hefty with nothing in it, this pack when filled with belongings will not weigh you down. I don't dread carrying it with me on a long walk unlike the Swiss bags. However, the trade off is this pack has significantly less storage capacity compared to a Swiss bag. There is only one main compartment, no secondary compartment for your books or power adapter, etc. Everything goes into the large compartment with the laptop. It is pretty narrow in there as well, you can probably fit 1 textbook comfortably along with your laptop. There is a smaller tablet compartment jutting on the front of the bag, but I would have preferred if they just made this a full-fledged secondary compartment. Good news is there are four additional smaller compartments after that. The pack has no mesh drink holder which I find a huge nuisance. Most people carry some sort of beverage, but your going to have to hold it by hand as there is nowhere in this pack to store it. Overall, this is a good pack if you want light-weight but durable design, but has a couple of huge flaws. If you don't need to carry much else besides your computer and accessories, this is a contender. If you want to carry a ton of stuff, look elsewhere. I have my Swiss pack for when I need to go on a long trip, this one I use if I know I'm just going to take my laptop, the charger and maybe a book to the library or coffee shop.

I absolutely love this backpack. Its lightweight and comfortable for me to be carrying around all day. I love the headphone jack on the strap. I wish that there were 2 large pockets instead of 1, but there is still plenty of room for me to fit my laptop and my textbooks. I got it on sale for $19.99 so it's even better.

I've had this backpack for over a month now. Just love it! My previous one was just too big and I'd end up putting "stuff" in it that I didn't really need to carry around. I now have that backpack in my trunk with stuff "I may need sometime". This one is small and light, yet have the proper pockets and features that are necessary. The special soft fabric compartment for sunglasses, and the iPod pocket and external jack are just super smart ideas. Can't say enough...

Just purchased a tablet and wanted something to throw it in besides my purse. Also wanted something durable that I could carry around. Tired of carrying 3 bags (purse, diaper bag, toy bag) this fits it all. I know more people would use this for school but it fits exactly what I was looking for. Between my stuff and all the baby/kid stuff there are enough pockets for all of it to be organized.

This is a great backpack for your laptop. It is durable and it well designed to hold cell phones, school supplies, etc. Has ample space for what I need in a day in a very compact space. It looks good, too. Well worth the money, more durable than many that are more expensive.

I had to retire my old Kenneth Cole backpack and recently acquired this unit! This unit has so many compartments it is unreal. It has an iPod holder, headphone jack on the strap so the cables are twisted and mangled when you are listening to music, and a built in laptop sleeve. I would highly recommend this bag for any student!

I've had many backpacks in the past that broke within a year, whether it be tearing, or the zipper breaking, etc. The fabric seems very sturdy and the zippers are pretty rugged as well. One nice surprise that I didn't notice at purchase was the headphone jack right on the shoulder strap, so you can store your phone/ipod safely in your bag and plug your headphones right into your shoulder. Simply an awesome design.

A good friend gave me a used 15 inch laptop and I was looking for a laptop bag/backpack to carry it. Came across this particular backpack here and decided to pick it up, as it was on sale at Best Buy. Once I got it and got it home, I attempted to put my laptop in to make sure it fit and sure enough it did. The one big thing I liked about this particular backpack is you can put in your laptop and still have a lot of storage space for anything else you may need to bring, be it books for school, a tablet or accessories for your laptop. Last but certainly not least, it is rugged and will protect all your items, regardless of what it is.

Very sturdy and looks great. Lots of storage. Carries my laptop, fan cooler, tablet, chargers and other misc electronic items I use for work.

This is a pretty good backpack. I like the specific pockets for the laptop and iPad. There are also enough other pockets to allow you to use specific pockets for items, like power cords, hard drives, USB sticks, etc., I haven't used the earphone plug in, so I can't comment on that. The sunglasses pocket is VERY handy and I'm sure has kept my current sunglasses with me longer than I'd have had them before. My main beef is that the pockets only have one zipper (except for the main) and I'm used to bags with two, so you can zip from either side to the middel or whatever pleases you. I didn't think about this much to start with but it's built up over time to a mild irritant for me. If that's not something that your used to, consider this pack to be "excellent".

I have been using this backpack daily for nearly 6 months now. It is still going as strong as the day I received it. Offers great protection for laptops and mobile devices with plenty of storage in the main compartment beyond that. Definitely recommend getting this if in need of a daily backpack.

Very pleased with this backpack. I got it on sale for 19.99, and wow am I happy. I can store my laptop, ipad, and iphone in the neat little slot on top, along with all my books for class. Very comfortable, not big and bulky at all! The over all quality is premium. Great backpack for everyday needs.

I've this bp for a more than a month already, I currently don't have any issue with it. I also have a Borealis from The North Face which costs double of this Tagus bp, but the quality is just as the same. I even like this Tagus bp more than the other one. In conclusion, I just have to say, I love it.

I've carried around a messenger bag ever since I've had a laptop for work. They may be more stylish or professional, but standard backpacks are become more of the norm. They're more practical, functional, and comfortable. This bag in particular is superb, and literally has a compartment for everything, down to soft coated pocket for a tablet, and a soft coated zipped pocket for a nice pair of headphones. My only critique would be about having to use the auxiliary jack in order to leverage the headphone port on the strap. The issue is it keeps your iPod/phone out of reach. So unless you don't want to ever change the song or volume, it's basically useless. That's a shame.

Overall this is a great backpack for college. It holds everything I need in order to travel to my classes. It is extremely durable and has great protection for my laptop.

I love this bag because it fits everything I need with room to spare. I also love that it is a backpack because it makes it even easier to transport.

I bought this bag for my son's first laptop. He is 12 years old and this is a good bag not only for the looks but for the padding and comfort to wear.

Good backpack, I play poker for a living so needed a bag to carry ipad and cash/headphones etc and this works well. Bit expensive

I have been using it for more than half a year. It looks nice and quite light-weighted. I like it a lot.

Great bag for the price. Zippers are smooth, dividers inside the bag are padded and has ample pockets. Nicely lined pocket up top for your sunglasses. I bought the bag to be able to transport my work laptop to work on my Harley and since riding glasses are pricey, I really liked that touch of the lined pocket for glasses. Also has a pocket for your iPod that connects inside the bag with a jack to the outside. Also a nice touch. Overall a great bag.
