    I looked for a cover for a long time and settled for this one. Little did I know that this is the best choice for me. The cover opens to allow the iPad to stand up for watching movies, whether on a desk or on my lap. Although the cover adds a bit of bulk, it protects the iPad well in the event of a drop. There is a built in pencil holder for the Apple Pencil.

    I always buy the Targus VersaVu cover. I have owned several iPads and the cover usually outlasts the iPad's usefulness. It's rugged, has an elastic band to securely protect the iPad, and can be used in landscape or portrait mode. I say spend a little extra and go for the flexibility and durability of the Targus VersaVu.

    It was a gift for a nine year old boy who got his "own" iPad for his birthday. I actually wanted to find him a Washington Nationals iPad cover, but couldn't find one on such short notice. So I got him a red one ( their color) and he loved it . His mom liked it even more cause she felt it was well made and protected the iPad especially since he's just a kid.
