The device is simple to use and works well. Installation is also simple. Fits effortless into the security port of a MacBook.

This lock is the biggest piece of garbage that I've bought in quite a while. You put in the code, and all is well until it comes time to take the lock off. The lock wasn't budging when I put in the code that I had entered in the beginning. So I tried a number of combinations around my combination, thinking that maybe I had accidentally slipped one of the lock wheels in the process of submitting my lock code. After I learned how to crack the code on one of these locks on the Internet (not very difficult at all-- it took me all of about 20 seconds), it was evident that the code was something foreign that was not the starting code, nor was it anywhere near the code that I put in. Unfortunately, I've retired the thing to a cabinet, and eventually, it will probably go in the garbage.

Even with the Targus - DEFCON Combo Lock I wouldn't recommend leaving a laptop unattended in a public place but It gives me a little more confidence that someone isn't going to grab my laptop if I'm momentarily distracted and gives me an added level of security when I leave my laptop in a hotel room.

Easy and inexpensive for solid protection. We needed this for a new student in dorm life. Easy to install and uninstall

It's the perfect length, easy to change the combination, easier to lock and unlock than an older kensington lock I have.

I really do like this Defcon Combo lock. It's simple to setup, easy to use and seems very sterdy in construction.

i didn't use it because it didnt fit my MacBook Pro 15' retina.From what i saw it looked like a great product.

Second time I have bought this for use in a dorm room to protect computers from being stolen.

This device is great. I love that I can go to public café and attach this lock to my laptop and to a table. It prevents laptop snatchers from getting away with stealing because they would have to carry the table with them if they want to steal my laptop. Also I feel safe if i have to run the bathroom and leave my laptop unattended. Great product.

...has been trying to find a flat-head screwdriver to redo the combination. The lock, itself, is very strong and works; the only downside is that it seems to need a very particular screwdriver to turn the mechanism to activate your combination.

This lock is nice because using a combination, there is no key to lose. I helps me feel secure when I have my computer away from home and I can "cable" it and walk away for a minute and know it will still be there when I get back.

BOUGHT THIS FOR THE KID GOING TO COLLEGE SO THAT THE NEW LAPTOP WOULD BE SAFE.
