Easy to install, did the job right away. Great price and my laptop no longer over heats.

Purchased this because I noticed my MacBook getting hot when I kept it docked at work all day. Now, since I have the new iPad, I don’t even take it off the dock to go to meetings. It does help somewhat with the heat; I notice my MacBook doesn’t get as hot. It isn’t very loud like some people mentioned in their reviews. I actually find it to be somewhat soothing white noise in the background of my office. My only complaint (and why I didn’t give it 5 stars) is it does not have an off switch. Since it plugs into my Mac Cinema Display, it never turns off. So every night when I leave, I have to unplug the USB cord for it to turn off. Other than that, it work like it should.

I am very happy with this Chill Mat for my 17.3 inch laptop! It is quiet and draws its power from the laptop via a USB port. The Mat provides steady air circulation from beneath the laptop which is very nice since when I use my laptop it is usually for many hours at a time and I'm sure that without some type of cooling mat I would run the risk of frying the motherboard in my laptop. I am very happy with this Chill Mat!

This is very light-weight, so you don't even notice it is there. My laptop stays cool now. It used to get very hot watching a movie.

The chill mat does what it is supposed to do. It is fairly quiet, plugs into the laptop for power via USB. No USB ports on the chill mat for other devices, cables or drives. I am using a DynaDock from Toshiba for peripherals and the 2 empty ports on the laptop itself.

So this is a super handy "tool" to have for your laptop. We were traveling and had work that had to be done on the compter while driving. We were worried because we have an Apple and they are not designed to be used in your lap at all so we were concerned with overheating and burning the lap. This thing not only kept the computer cool, it actually kept the lap cool as well which is nice in the heat of summer. I'd definately recommend this is you have to work when you travel

I learned the hard way about the need to keep your laptop cool. I once burned one up and lost all my data as a result. This cooling system is for a 14" laptop and is virtually silent but effective. Thanks to the crew that brought it out to my car during the pandemic. You have solidified a loyal customer.

Having had to obtain on short notice a Windows 10 laptop with optical drive included for some work related video production, I picked up an inexpensive 15.6" laptop to use at the office in the ad hoc video production space I had set up. Since my Toshiba Satellite 15.6" i5 processor Windows 10 laptop did not have an optical drive and I wanted to avoid cluttering up its hard drive with video files, purchasing a second laptop for a specific purpose made sense and space limitations precluded using an external optical drive at the designated space at work. Much to my chagrin, the under $400.00 bargain computer (with an i3 core processor) had both a shorter than expected battery life and it ran hot after two hours of continuous use. Enter the Targus dual fan Chill Mat cooling system. A USB powered hard plastic mat that keeps my laptop cool during video production sessions at the office. There is nothing especially fancy about this product and it is USB 2.0 only. But it keeps one's laptop temperature down and that is what it's supposed to do. This a a no-frills but efficient cooling mat affordably priced. By plugging it into an external USB 2.0 hub I now have a cost effective video workstation where I can transfer video files from the digital camcorder that I use for work to the bargain laptop where I can burn DVDs on an as needed basis for clients.
