Windows software can not run the laptops cooling fan so it overheats - especially running computationally intensive software or just charging the battery.

Mat was reasonably priced, fan is not very loud. Expect it to last a couple of years and it will die. I have not experienced real long life with these.

Defective Product and not thrilled by design.

Fans and pad were defective and do not function. Also the cord provided does not fit into the plug very well and is located in the center of the pad. Doesn't really make sense because the USB ports on any laptop will be located on the sides not in the center.

I'll end-up using this cooling mat for another laptop that's dedicated to web browsing and creating/organizing documents.
