But on the other hand if you are getting this to prevent performance throttling on gaming due to heating issues, this is not great. I found my pc heating up just as fast as it did without the pad! Not to mention this is one of the cheapest feeling cooling pads I've ever owned. The two fans just don't keep the pc cool while you are gaming.

The old one had an *attached* USB cable. This version has a separate cable with connectors on both ends, and the connector that plugs into the mat broke off after less than 3 months of use. Meaning that I now have a plastic mat with holes to protect my lap from the laptop heat. Yes, Targus provided a limited 1 year warranty -- which requires me to ship the mat to them at my expense. Not worth the hassle. This is one limitation of reviews -- people write them shortly after purchase, before there's an opportunity to observe the product's reliability.

Laptop still gets a little warm, can't tell a difference in temperature before/after, but intake and exhaust fans are on bottom of my laptop. I'm sure it helps circulate the air though. Not noisy at all

This is hit or miss depending on where your laptop heats up from. Maybe a third fan in the middle would probably help.
