Its so loud. Do not buy this its a waste of money.

Very satisfied with this product purchase. Laptop used to overheat and get hot, but now it stays cool the whole time. I would check it about every 5-10 minutes, and it would still be cool or at the very most a bit warm. Fan makes barely any noise as well I can never hear it unless its completely quiet and I'm trying to hear it. I would recommend this product highly.

This was too small for our computer, and didn't slope well (or at all, I now can't recall), which made it uncomfortable for the wrists. We returned it for a different one that we like much better. We did like this one automatically turns off when the laptop is closed.

Makes the computer more hot because it needs an external means of power vs using the computer

Not very impressed by the cheap materials - I feel like this would be way too easy to break or snap in half by accident. It is only $29.99, but I'd still appreciate a sturdier plastic. That said, there aren't a lot of these available it seems, and this does help cool the computer (though it isn't amazing at all). My MacBook still overheats sometimes with this, but it's a little better - doesn't overheat as easily, I have found. It's kinda hard to use this on your lap, but possible if you are very careful. The thing is that it pulls in air from underneath, so I have to prop it so it just rests partly on my leg and leaves room for circulation underneath. Targus does make one meant to sit on your lap, but I've heard the fans are weak. If you just intend to use this on a desk, then it should work fine, and keep your computer from overheating as often.

I've had this for a few months now (2-3, not really sure) and it's worked fine. My only problem is that my laptop (a Spectre 360) has limited ventilation on it's own, near the top of the laptop. Because of that, the fans on this chill mat don't really do as much as they could for a laptop with better ventilation. My laptop still gets hot, just not as hot. I'm keeping it around for someone else to use, as it's still functional, quiet, etc., but just not for me. Another qualm is how it's only powered by USB, so it takes my only USB port, and the fan speeds aren't customizable. But, it's a $30 mat, so what can you do?

The difference was like night and day. When I started using this cooling pad, my laptop would barely ever get hot running extensive tasks. And my laptop was well over the recommended size dimensions too. However, it has no way to prevent the laptop from sliding around on top of it, so you'll need to be careful about that.

Just connect to laptop. Easy. The chill mat works great! The internal fan on my daughters laptop wasn't cooling enough so we had a new fan installed. Still, the machine was running hot so we bought the chill mat! Problem solved.

A great fan mat; elevates my laptop and keeps it cool. The fans are whisper quiet. Seems a little light and flimsy, but other than that it's a nice gaming accessory.

Bought this as a replacement for the more expensive one as a Christmas gift. This one is very quiet and works very effectively. Very please with this chill mat. The more expensive one that was bought last year got noisy after only a few months, Targus replaced it only for the fans to get loud and noisy again after 4 months of use. Very please with this chill mat.

Does its job, under small and medium loads. The cooling is noticeable! Even though under large or intense gaming or resource heavy usage its not strong enough, it will still provide efficient airflow as its raised with fans. This is being used with an expensive Lenovo 5i Gen 9 gaming laptop.
