The plastic that it is made from feels cheap. When you plug it in, it does blow air. I feel however that this is something I probably could've made myself. I would spring the extra $20 for the one that can sit on your lap.

I usually could hear my computer processor running way too much (and occasionally my screen would go black), but that hasn't happened since I've used this. If my computer gets too hot before I turn it on, it doesn't do much however.

This has allowed us to extended the life of the laptop by providing cooling to the processor. I'll have to eventually replace the fan, but not today.

Never thought I'd need one until...

So I rushed out and picked up one, and love how it works. It is quiet and pretty much starts up when my laptop is in use. No more problems with heat generation from the laptop. Worth the investment.

My son's gaming laptop was laggy (running slow), and it turned out it was slowing down the processor due to getting too hot. We added the mat and its temperature lowered considerably and no more lag!

Decent Chill Mat

The mat does a very good job of keeping the PC cool. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 rating is that it doesn't have an on/off switch. It keeps running as long as there is power to the laptop, whether the laptop is turned on or not.
