It does what it's supposed to but if you've got a laptop that dissipates serious heat id go for one a little more heavy duty this one only decreased temps by roughly 1-3c My new one does 5-7c

I have several problems with this product: 1) The power plug uses the outdated micro plug, not the Apple lightning or Android plugs. So you have to bring this cord with you everywhere. When you lose it, you are screwed. 2) This product was designed to cool laptops by sitting flat on a table and blowing the air up. And its dual fans, which are not really that powerful, sit on the left side of the flat-lying unit. Problem is my Surface Pro 3 overheats in a specific corner (upper left, back wide). Plus the SP3, like many touchable screens, is designed to be used mostly with its screen propped up in its triangular base. So I have to prop the fan up, leaning it up against the upright SP3 backside. -- That said, it does the job.

So far so good. Usb needs to be plugged into something but does the job.

I like how well it seems to keep my laptop cool. It also is nice when I'm working with it on my lap.

Works perfectly, quiet motor, barely notice it running. Cools laptop well. Good fan for the price.

If you want simple laptop heat-sink platform, this product will work. Has to be on level surface, like a table. For its size it will assist cooling a laptop. The size is on the small size of small laptops. Check the dimensions of your laptop and this cooler.

This Targus does what it is expected to do. It is simply, it is effective, and it is easy to use. There are higher cost models, from Targum and from other brands, but this one is adequate for me, and I think it would be adequate for anyone.

Helped me keep my computer running in very hot weather; great to have a back up plan for when things get hot. Saved a breakdown and expense.

It definitely helped with the cooling my laptop. It is a little pound but other then that it’s a good.

Purchased this with my new laptop which was getting very hot. While this item is very quiet, it could be a bit more powerful. It does the job but not as well as I had hoped.

I have two of these (for office and home) and have been impressed with them. They keep the laptop cool while I'm working on it, which is all that I wanted. It doesn't stop the laptop from getting hot, but it does slow down the time it takes for it to get hot. It would be nice if it were a little quieter, but I'm not sure how that could be achieved while keeping it at the price it sells for.

I use this almost every day and have for many months on end with zero issues. Clean out the dust every now and then and it should last for a long time. Quieter than other models I have used. I would suggest getting an in-line USB power switch so that it doesn't need to be unplugged when you want it off.
