I just plug it into my computer or usb wall charger and it works great. The cord that is included in the box is short so I use one of my phonr charging cables and it works perfectly. My laptop is kept cool the entire time and there isnt an On or Off switch. Just plug it in and it automatically turns the fans on.

And, by proper positioning of laptop onto cooler housing, blow-by effect can be had upon the laptop fan exhaust duct, increasing flow, and achieving a 'cooler' number cruncher! For a simple and inexpensive device, I give it the 5-Star design compliment: it is elegant.

Keeps both cool, not objectionably loud at all, runs on USB port from computer.

Decent Cooling Pad

Targus Dual Fan Chill Mat Cooling System

I can play games for an extended period of time without the laptop getting hot. It is also very comfortable.

I took it to Best Buy to get it repaired but HP no longer sells the part to Best Buy that I need to get it fixed. I bought the cool pad and has helped a lot!
