I cleaned the vents but that didn't help so I purchased the Targus Chill Mat. Now the laptop's temperature stays about 15° cooler and it doesn't overheat.

I bought a cheaper mat that lasted about 4 months and bought this one as a replacement and I like this one a lot more.
