Works well for my Receiver

Good for gaming on bed/couch, that's about it.

The only real advantage I see is that it gives the laptop a flat surface to rest on. The fans are so weak, it doesn't really help push air out. For that reason, I give it a 3 star. I've put my hand on the laptop fan exhaust with this on and off, I found no significant change. If you are couch gaming or in the bed, and your laptop is potentially starved for air, this would be a helpful and welcomed accessory. If you use a table each time you use your laptop, particularly for heat generation, you don't really need this. For mining with a laptop (not sure why you would do this), there are 1,000 other fans I could recommend over this laptop cooler (aka flat platform).
