I notice a big difference in my temperature when I use this. Plus, there are some well thought out rubber stoppers that keep the laptop in place.

It is very light and the perfect size for my laptop. It keeps my laptop running cool and smooth for as long as I need. It is not too bulky, so it actually makes for good support for me when typing, and I don't need to use any other supporting mat. I am very happy with this product.

My laptop used to run extremely hot which sometimes affected its performance. With the addition of the cooling mat, the laptop barely gets warm at all. The cooling mat runs quietly no matter how long I work on my laptop. Past ratings indicated that the fans were loud but I have not found that to be the case.

I’ve kept them on books just to get good air flow. This flat device is no more than an inch thick. You place your laptop on it and connect it to the fan device. When the laptop is on the fan runs ( quietly). When the laptop is off the fan is off. Overheating is not good for your laptop so an extra $40 to pay for this-for me is well worth it.

Keeps my HP laptop from shutting down for heat

Also when I close the lid and the stupid computer is doing updates or something it will still shut down for overheating since I have disconnected the fan from the USB port. Also if I forget and leave it plugged in it runs constantly - But the fan unit has solved the almost insurmountable problem of keeping my HP laptop running long enough to do the endless Windows 10 updates. Have had 4-5 failures to update in past times - turned unit upside down and put a little box fan on it to get them done,

Obviously it’s not the best out there, but good if you need one quick. It has dropped temps on my ASUS Tuf A15 laptop approximately 3 degrees Celsius.
