I love it!! I just had a laptop go bad because it was overheating all the time. It fried it. I got a new laptop the same time as the pad both are working fine, Thank you!!

It is light weight and easily to carry. Fits just right for 15" laptop.

This cooler is comfortable and light, but it is not strong enough: its two fans cover only a little area of the pad, so they don’t help to cool my laptop in an efficient manner. As someone has said before, if you hold your hand over the fan, you barely feel any air from it.

After losing a laptop to overheating, this was a necessary purchase with a replacement laptop. It is not bulky and keeps my laptop from getting so hot that I cannot put it on my lap.

Barely any cooling only saved like 4 degrees. Also false advertising the specs say up to 17 inch laptop but it's really 16 inches on the packaging. The only saving grace is it does keep heat off your legs & stop you from blocking the vents. Get the llano v12 or flydigi bs1. This is what happens when you try to cut costs lol i ordered this cause i didn't have time to wait for shipping. Just save a extra 70bucks & get something that'll drop your temps by like 20degrees

I used this for a couple months. It ran fine but never seemed to deliver good enough airflow for my laptop. I like that it has a storage place for the cord when it''s not being used. It's also comfortable for lap placement. I ended up replacing it with a single 200mm cooling pad. With the new pad I noticed CPU core temps still peaked where they did with this Targus cooling pad, but they didn't remain there constantly. I would recommend a different product.

Have used this cooling pad almost continually for the past three weeks - no hiccups, the fan is relatively quiet and it has kept my laptop nice and cool. A good buy!

Fans barely work at all. All this product is good for is that it allows my son to use his laptop on his bed (he is handicapped) without the laptop sitting right on his legs. It is a gaming laptop so it does get hot, but fans do not help.

As a Graphic Designer I bought my Laptop in 2012 at Best Buy which was a Samsung Qosmio with a 17.3in screen and when I ordered it I had a few programs added that would aid in my work but I have to say my laptop has ALOT of power. Along with that power it gets VERY hot after awhile which causes it to run slow, so I finally went to Best Buy last week to get a duel fan cooling system. I ALWAYS checkout the ratings and read everyone's opinion on what I'm buying before I buy it at Best Buy. Don't get me wrong I love Best Buy it's my 2nd home and I would go there before going somewhere else to get what I need, but because I didn't do my homework on this Targus - Dual Fan Lap Chill Mat Cooling System, I went ahead and bought it in store anyways. Unfortunately it was the only one they had so I had to get it instead of going home empty handed and not being able to cool my laptop so I could finish my work. Once I got it home, plugged it into my laptop I have to say, before I realized that it wasn't working correctly, I thought to myself "this is a VERY quiet Chill Mat and I can just leave it plugged in to my laptop and it'll shut of when I shut my laptop off"!. I kept this Targus fan mat for about 4 days to see how good it performed and honestly with the one I had (Because I know not everyone is or runs the same even though they should) even though it ran very quietly, the air that the fans were supposed to produce to make the laptop cool down, I have to say that I was not impressed, AT ALL!!! From a scale from 1-5 on air distribution, I give it a 1. The fans hardly produced any air to cool down the laptop. With having a 17.3 screen that makes the whole laptop really big, the size of the fan mat didn't fit the whole underside of the laptop making it hard for the fans to blow air to the side of my laptop since the fan that is blowing hot air is on the right side and the duel fans on the mat are in the middle so if it was actually working and blowing air like it should of been doing, it would still not be able to cool the fan on the laptop unless I moved the right side of the laptop over to the left over the right side fan on the mat. So as far as the size of the fan mat, it will only cover the bottom of a 15in screen laptop even though the cover that is wrapped around the fan mat when you first buy it says that it works even with a 17.3in screen laptop. Me personally I don't find that to be the case. So on a scale from 1-5 on size, I give it a 2.. I've NEVER given anything that I have bought at Best Buy a rating of a one or two star until now and honestly I feel bad for doing so. Going back to when I said I know that not every Targus - Dual Fan Lap Chill Mat Cooling System are the same and may run differently than the one I bought and maybe I just got ahold of a bad one that didn't produce the air that I thought it should have, if that's the case then I'm sure that this Targus would work perfectly for a smaller laptop like a 15in or smaller, just not a 17.3in. like It said it would. Then again not everyone has my laptop and they don't have a laptop that has the fan that blows the hot air on the right side. If they have a 17in laptop that has the fans underneath instead of on the sides then I'm sure that this cooling mat would be just fine! I'm just not familiar with all these new laptops that are coming out now and how they are made. So I'm just giving my experience that I had with the Targus and how it worked on my laptop which Samsung stopped making awhile back ago. So this maybe just an isolated incident with my laptop because of the way it was built and may not affect these newer ones that are out now like it did mine but the fact that it didn't produce the air that it was supposed to makes me wonder if I just got a bad one or their just all like that. You all can be the judge and decide for yourselves.. I just know that there are cooling system mats on the Best Buy website that have more than 2 fans and would work a lot better at cooling down a laptop whether it be old or new...This is just one mans opinion!

This is an amazing product for the price. Is extremely quiet and portable.
