It's been two years and it's still working. I used it to keep a gaming laptop from overheating and did its job. I now use it on a new, much smaller 13" Dell that can get quite warm if it's running a bunch of media due to lack of exhaust ports.

So, usually I am lying in bed. This chill mat works great at keeping the computer cool and preventing it from overheating. I would highly recommend that everyone who has a laptop gets one of these. I love it.

My only small point of interest is that I use this on my desk mostly, and the bottom of the mat tends to be a bit slippery on the desk and it slides around a bit.

I thought I could her the fans pulling that hot air out of my laptop and the hot air exhausting from the side. I barley notice that it is on and my laptop still overheats and shuts down. I will eventually break down and get the fans replaced in the laptop which I should have done from the start.
