But if you need this to help cool your laptop well then this probably isnt the one for you. This barely moves a piece of paper thats on the surface of this so called cooling pad. Not sure if it is made like this or its defective? I will be returning this as soon as i can. It also is cheaply made. Do not drop it on any hard surface. Very short & fragile connection cord as well. I plugged it in the wall to see if it would be stronger, it wasnt.

It also is USB A and newer laptops have only USB C, so if you don't get an adapter, you're out of luck. It doesn't cool as well as an older Targus cooler that I have, but it does the job keeping my overpowered laptop cool

Previous similar items had the ability to control the speed of the fans as well as having indents to allow the lap top to sit more securely on top of the chill mat.

There is about a 1/2 inch difference on 3 sides of my 17 inch HP.

I just received it in the mail and was eager to try it out as my laptop is having fan problems. I plugged it in and...well, to say it "turned on" would be too generous. I hear a small whirring sound, indicating that it is doing SOMETHING, but...that's pretty much it. Fans are measly and pathetic, barely outputs any air at all. I put my hand directly over it and I feel almost nothing. There's no way this useless piece of plastic can cool down my gaming laptop! Can't wait to return this junk. DO NOT BUY THIS! It's poor quality!
