The padding isn't super thick so you still need to be careful if you drop it with delicate items. However, it's worked flawless using it for work and traveling. The side mesh pockets are great for water bottles or tumblers. There are more pockets than I know what to do with.

Got this backpack for $12 and it fits my needs well. It carries my laptop and other miscellaneous items for work. Probably not a buyer at full price, but for $12 its a great backpack.

As of today, over a year of use, it still holding up. Backpack holds a heavy laptop, folders, papers and small water bottle. No snags, tears or holes in or on backpack.
