My daughter laptop keeps heating up after an hour of use, it would just turn off from over heating. We put it on this fan and no more over heating. Love the dual fan feature. Very sturdy

being this is the only cooling mat I have ever had I can only tell you about this one. I can't compare it against any others. I know its keeping my laptop at a much lower temperature than without it so it is doing its job. The real negative is the fan noise .It at times keeps me awake at night as I leave my laptop on all night. Its noisier than the fan in the laptop.

the targus chillpad with dual fans is a great accessory to our laptop at home. we don't need cushions and pillows on our lap now to prevent our legs from heating up from the laptop. it works great on the kids bed and on our tables and counters.

I will only use the mat sparingly because it doesn't feel stable enought while the computer sits on it.

This cooling pad is nice and works well however it is too narrow for the envy computer I bought it for and it says it is for a 17" computer.

I needed a laptop fan that had a higher lip so that the laptop would not slide off. This unit has a lip and non-skid pads that fits perfectly.

It is a great cooling pad. I will say that the slope of it is a bit weird and can be a pain if your not careful, but overall, lovely machine.

I like Best Buy, they have quality stuff at decent prices. Staff's great too. I like using Best Buy for my digital/electronic items.

The chill mat is all I need. I have not tried others but am pleased with the way this works. I just wish I could attach it to my laptop.

I wasn't sure whether to spend the extra to bump up from the model below this one, but the sales person said he had this exact one, and that it worked great. We love it- it does exactly what it is supposed to- keep our laptop cool

Over all it performs well and extremely quiet just wish it had Velcro to secure the chill mat to my pc laptop for portability. However I can always get some heavy duty Velcro to make or break to secure the base to the laptop.

This unit works great had a big problem while playing games and having my laptop over heat now i have no problems the extra height adjustment give even more air flow.

Works good in keeping my laptop cool, the fans are positioned well. The product takes a bit to get used to if you're using it on your lap since it's suddenly heavier and bulkier but overall a good product.

Great chill mat. Has worked well since I bought it. I really like having the dual fan feature since I have a 17" laptop.

It's a pretty good fan it would be nicer if it was smaller so it would be the perfect size for my 13" MacBook pro

I would not recommend this product if you intend to use the fan. It does work pretty good without the fan though,

Does what I need it to do. Wish the fans blew faster air and have a feed through USB. Other then that it's great.

I can have computer on for hours and you wouldn't know it because it's cool. So quiet I can use it in the middle of the night and not wake anyone up

I have been using this for about 2 weeks and my laptop has not informed it was over heating and needed to shut down.

I have a 17", rather heavy, gaming laptop. When overheating, the games would become useless. This device helped keep me playing longer. However, I can't recommend this for large laptops. The fan vents are aimed at the top half of a laptop, where my intakes are on the lower half. It's possible to flip the pad around, but then you lose the ability to use the back prop-up feature. (Which I need.) Fan is a bit wobbly and louder than the internal laptop fan. Bit worried about how long it will last. Have occasionally had light, grinding noises. My laptop may be too heavy for its materials. In the future I'll be looking for a fan that lines up with my vents, and can handle the large footprint of my laptop. Won't be able to tell how noisy it is til I try it out, unfortunately. (Online reviews said this one was nearly silent.... nope.)
