I was on a work trip to Boston and forgot my charger. Rather than buy a dell specific I figured I would pick up a universal one. Out of the box it has options for tips and charges my Asus and Dell Laptops. Why this gets three stars is for the price associated with it. With how low gauge the wire feels it doesn't seem like a high end charger. The plastic box does feel pretty solid and weight seems consistent in it. The other reason for a 3 star is how the tips attach. They don't have a locking mechanism so if you happen to tug the charger the tip can fall off and easily be lost . In the past I had a universal one that would slide on and had a threaded piece to ensure a snug secure fit. All in All if you need a charger this works as intended. But I would have chosen differently if I wasn't in a pinch.

Great replacement for my laptop power cord!

Since the laptop is my only computer, I had to get a way to charge the battery. With this purchase, I not only charged my laptop battery, but my cellphone, my GPS, and my CD player. I was in the middle of a trip so this very very helpful. Easy to use and had all the connections I needed.
