Won’t stop until you unplug and plug it back in. Submitted bug to Targus - they’ve done nothing to fix the issue

Power pass-through problems.

The original Dell 65W power supply is attached, so the pass-through seems to be a bit faulty. The power supply works fine when connected directly to the same USB-C port on the computer.

Posted .Sorry, to hear that you appear to be having Power delivery issues. It is possible that the PC and the dock are not compatible with switching power delivery on the fly. I would suggest first trying to be sure that you are plugging the PC power supply first into the dock and then plugging the dock into the PC. I got this to work a few times, but ultimately ended up tossing it in the bin, buying a different brand, which works great.

Made sure drivers were installed. Took it back to Best Buy for a refund after the geek squad confirmed that I purchased a bad unit.

This is a USBC Alt Mode dock and does not require drivers to work you just need to have a USBC port or Thunderbolt port that supports DP Alt Mode. It doesn't support extended desktop for the two HDMI displays on a Mac, only screen mirroring. That limits its usefulness to a very specific purpose. What's worse is this isn't mentioned in the product description on the website or on the box, which has an image of a MacBook with two monitors being used as an extended desktop. This limitation is mentioned in tiny print on p. 4 of the user guide, which you obviously would never read until *after* buying the useless product.

This dock would allow you to have dual extended monitors instead of dual mirrored or just one on the Mac. Single display or mirror display with macbook

Even with two html ports, the two monitors can only mirror the display. The official website described this compatibility issue with macbook. But bestbuy did not explicitly mention this in the description.

Posted .As the macOS does not support MST (Multi-Stream Transport) most docks that use your devices internal graphics and software will support dual mirrored instead of extended displays. Docking station a No Go

I tried adjusting setting and using different cables but nothing worked so I had to return it. Very disappointed

Posted .I am sorry to hear that this dock did not work for you. I am not sure what make and model of laptop that you have but this dock needs a port on the laptop that supports DP Alt Mode. It may be possible that the port you were using did not support that mode.

First please update your operating system and your computer. To update the computer please go to the support site of the manufacturer and look for any software updates available for your computer. If the laptop does not support it then it will only offer what is supported by the host.
