The cover did not seem to turn off the iPad, no magnetic closure. This would likely cause more battery drain and shorter charge life. I returned the cover for those reasons.

It has fallen apart after three months. The edge fake leather started to peal back from the shell and now just flaps there like an old grocery bag. Looks tacky. Even worse there isn’t enough curvature to protect the edges. So $50 wasted. Save your money.

It has also a soft foam grooves. The case overall with the elastic band is easy to handle and take anywhere.
