The grooves are not deep enough to allow the user to set it and forget it. The iPad slides over the last 2 sets of grooves. A waste of money.

When the devise fell from about 2 feet the case was of no use protecting the IPAD. Both the case and the IPAD appeared undamaged but the IPAD was trashed internally

The spinning feature is ridiculously silly and completely unnecessary...a simple setting on any apple device already address this--resulting in a pad that constantly moves if you're just trying to do a simple open and read. It's overly thick and not lightweight at all. Absolutely terrible for traveling. Takes up space and is heavy. Doesn't even cover or protect the entire pad since it has the stupid opening on the back to show the apple. How stupid and what a poor design. Maybe someone who has never had a different cover to compare, but this thing is unnecessarily over engineered so they can charge you for what is really in inferior product. Maybe for folks who give their iPads to the kiddies like it since it feels like it might hold up better have bought this. I hate mine and will be donating mine to Salvation Army, etc and popping the much better brookstone product back on - worn spots and all... don't waste your $$$!!!
