Good movie although I did not enjoy it as most others did.

Although this film was acclaimed by the Hollywood establishment (4 Academy Award Nominations) this “rough-around-the-edges” movie with crime overtones just did not “click” with me. It’s a story of a mentally unstable USMC Vet who works at night driving a taxi cab who can’t sleep by day [Robert De Niro did an excellent job portraying this character]. Said another way, its’ a good movie with an eminently qualified acting troop and a superb Director, but as a viewer I had a very hard time getting into and connecting with its’ “meaty” story line.

I bought this film, due to the fact that an old friend recommended it. Plus, it was a steelbook. And I collect steelbooks. The film itself was okay, but probably not something I'd be able to watch over and over again.

De Niro, and the rest of the cast, do a serviceable job in this micro-cosmic window into the life of Travis Bickle--a Vietnam vet--who, true, writes mind-numbing entries in his diary,

I would of thought they would have spent more time on this one. Lots of grain on 60" 4k tv. Using 4k blu-ray player.

40 year old movie, not my favorite but my son wanted it for his movie collection for his birthday

The movie is well done, but not the iconic film many critics seem to think.
