worth it for one small bedroom

Great Customer Service. Horrible product.

Thought refrigerator in kitchen had a refrigerant leak. Hired someone to come look at the refrigerator. It was not that. Turned the AC on again and the smell filled the house. Best Buy took it back with no issue. Grateful for that. TCL should stay in their lane.

I glanced through the pictures in the listing and did not see that this unit needs window venting - I looked at the pictures that were on the ad, BUT IT DID NOT SCROLL THROUGH ALL THE PICTURES and see "easy installation". I had to return the unit. Best Buy was good at taking it back.

|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setup and installation of the portable A/C is fairly simple. At around 50lbs it is heavy but has caster wheels making it easy to maneuver around. Attach the exhaust hose to the inlet and outlet pieces, put the slider in place and you are ready to go. Keep in mind that the included hose is about 5 feet in length which will be your limiting factor when determining where to place the unit. Also included is an adhesive foam strip and thicker foam padding to use for sealing any gaps. Airflow is out of the louvered vents on top and puts out a nice cold stream. It quickly cooled down a 13x15 medium sized bedroom just using medium to low fan speed setting. There are several different cooling modes to choose from. I found that setting a desired temperature and fan speed seemed to do just as well as the Smart Mode that alternates between cool and fan modes at 73 degrees. It can be operated by either the front panel controls or the remote control. It is a little odd that the symbols on the remote don’t exactly match the ones on the panel seems like that would have been an easy thing to align. I guess if you routinely use one or the other maybe it’s not that big of a deal. The manual states that during A/C operation you drain the unit at the end of the season. I have not had to do so yet and if the water gets full it will shut off and show a code on the front display. It’s a little confusing why you would want to use the middle drain outlet vs the lower one. I think the middle one is for continuous draining if using dry mode, but it also says the lower one can be used for that as well. I did not have a use for or try out the dry mode yet, but I presume that it makes it function like a dehumidifier. I also did not try the wi-fi app out because you must create an online account and it doesn’t provide any additional features that you already have with the other controls. Overall, it works great, is easy to set up and relatively small. Would highly recommend.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS UNIT!

Additionally, it leaks so much water I have to change it every couple hours. It's impossible to keep on overnight because the bucket holding the hose gets overflowed.
