Do not purchase

Roku part of this TV is not worth it....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok.. this is so cheap... that's a plus. I've had this for 2 years and it still works... I guess that's a plus. Here's why I would NOT buy this again... there are big issues with intermittent delays with the remote and action on the TV (ie. you push a button and nothing happens for 5 sec... after which of course you've pushed the buttons a bunch more times...) (search this on google... it's a real complaint and the "quick fix videos" didn't work for me...) also... despite being on 5K with good upload and download speeds.... picture seems to pixelate or go into "buffering" at times. Thought it was some weird wifi issue and not the TV but looked up a roku stick to the HDMI and have no issues at all with delays or picture. So now... I have to use a Roku stick to make my Roku TV work. Also would be nice to have volume leveling on this TV. I watch regular TV at volume 14 and Netflix at level 30. When I go back to regular TV... volume BLASTS. Sigh.....

Our TVs do come with a 1-year parts and labor manufacturer's warranty for those rare times that defects occur. In cases like this, if you purchased an extended warranty, you may want to reach out to see if you can file a warranty claim through the extended warranty company. Furthermore, if you purchased using a credit card, some credit card companies also provide additional coverage. Not a good TV.

Even with brand new batteries, I have to aim the remote exactly at the right angle and the right distance for it to respond and I have to press the buttons 45 times before anything happens. The picture looks faded (there's nothing wrong with the display, TCL decided not to include contrast/color settings to the main menu). I would've been better off buying a different TV brand and a separate Roku. The remote is a cheap and slippery plastic. I own other Roku products and I guess I bought this TV thinking it would at least meet my expectations. It didn't.
