It works OK as a Roku streamer. I was unable to connect an older DVD player, as the 3.5 mm audio/video connection was not functioning. This was the only connection possible with this older player. A newer dvd player was required. I recommend you check what accessories you wish to add before you purchase as HDMI is preferred and may be the only functional

The composite connection for this TV is a single input located on the back of the TV near the other inputs. You would need to use an adapter to connect the traditional red/white/yellow cables you are used to seeing. If your adapter is not working, you may need to try a different one. It's our first with streaming services available so it's going to take some time to learn how to fully take full advantage of this service. I have to give it a bit of a deduction due to the sound quality. (Would prefer 4.5 stars instead of only 4 stars.) Overall, I'm very satisfied with this purchase as it is a good choice as a secondary tv located in the bedroom.
