Not ready for Prime Time
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This product is buggy and not ready for customers as of Oct. 2022. Bought a unit, set it up according to instructions, after 30 minutes of running, it went bonkers: all the buttons froze up, indicator light started fluttering, etc. I called TCL customer support and a tech walked me through at least a dozen diagnostics and finally got it working. Then after another 30 minutes of running ok, it went bonkers again. I called TCL again and asked if I should just exchange my set, or if they had that problem with other sets. Thankfully the tech was truthful and said they had that problem on other sets. So I returned it and bought a Samsung instead.

Not worth buying

With situations like this, we encourage you to check with the retailer you purchased from to see if they cover this type of issue with the TV. Additionally, if you purchased an extended warranty, you may want to reach out to see if you can file a warranty claim through the extended warranty. Died After 2 Weeks!

I purchased this as a gift for my mom and it worked great for 2 weeks and died. Spending almost an entire day on the phone with support, it turned on but still had no picture. I'm returning this garbage and would give zero stars if I could!

Missing some important features

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. This TV features a physical power button located at the middle bottom of the TV, under the Standby LED. Additionally, the composite connection for this TCL TV is a single input located on the back of the TV near the other inputs. You would need to use an adapter to connect the traditional red/white/yellow cables you are used to seeing. The adapter would need to be purchased separately. Hope this helps!

I’ve Cut “The Cable”!

I’ve tried a number of streaming devices, but this is by far the one I like the best. Nvidia Shield, TIVO, and Amazon firestick were good, but the TCL smart Roku TV was by far the best for my purposes. It’s easy to operate, is very flexible and, for all practical purposes, expandable. I love it… So does my wife! This is… A Great Value for an Excellent Machine!
