    Does not connect to Xfinity internet

    I have spent 2 hours trying to call TCL, Xfinity and Roku to get this TV to connect to Xfinity internet. Unless I have major changes to my Xf1 router TV will not connect to internet.

    Broke it the first week. Barely bumped the desk it was on and it fell face down. Picked it up and the screen looked shattered on the inside. It weighs like half a pound and the legs are flimsy. Great picture though!

    Unwatchable within 7 Months =(

    Purchased in August of 2020 and just had to buy a Samsung in March 2021. TCL TV resets to manufacturer settings randomly which requires constant re-setup for perhaps only 30minutes of watch time. Searched the issue online and found many other consumers have the same issue with no fix. I did ensure all updates were current. Please try a different brand.

    Didn’t last long

    So I was initially pleased with this purchase. I received it in May 2020. Last night the TV suddenly shut itself off and won’t turn on at all. Seems like it should have lasted AT LEAST two years. Pretty disappointed.

    Slow response even with volume control

    This TV is really slow. My internet connection is great but the tv constantly pauses or skips scenes. Even adjusting the volume is a hassle. I’ll turn the volume up or down and nothing happens, then a few minutes later the volume changes.

    Medicore TV at best

    Picture quality was only average. Sound was fair. In order to get on-line, required a Roku account (whether I wanted one or not) with no way to get around it. I returned the TV and bought a different brand.

      Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. In order to use the smart features of this TCL Roku TV, you would need to complete the guided setup. This includes connecting to the Internet via WiFi, creating a Roku account (completely free), and activating the TV (completely free). However, if you just want to use this TV as a traditional TV by connecting external devices through the various inputs and not use the smart features, you can elect to not connect this TV to the Internet at startup. You will still have access to all of the inputs and features of a traditional TV. Hope this helps!

    Have had trouble from very beginning of install Best Buy sales recommended Geek Squad installation Comcast came out to check it out Can’t make the system work in this space Would never purchased this tv if knew of the difficulty... check my service record for additional history

    Nine months and it’s a total waste of money, an alarm showed up that it was overheated and 5min later good bye TV, nothing to do because it’s is expensive to be fixed than get a new one…

    This TV is very user unfriendly! The remote doesn't have numbers, so changing the channel is ridiculously difficult. Using regular TV without internet or cable is also nearly impossible.

      Hello,

      Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. Currently, our smart TVs do not support the direct input of channel numbers for OTA. However, if your TV is connected to the Internet, you can press the left arrow key to populate a channel guide and navigate channels this way. Additionally, you can enable "favorites" for over the air channels so that your most-watched channels will automatically appear towards the top. To enable favorites you would go to Home>Settings>TV inputs>Antenna TV>Favorite Channels>Enable. Hope this helps!

    Go Chromecast Instead

    Total waste of money. Chromecast is a thousand times better. I have chromecast hooked up to a ten year old TCL and it works perfect. This is my third TCL so I know they make good TVs. It's the Roku part that is bad. Constantly freezing, cutting out, slow, etc. I'm a total geek with high speed internet, so don't give me any of the canned excuses. My advice, buy a regular TV and a chromecast.

      Our TVs are compatible with most Universal and cable remotes. Many Universal and cable box remotes can be programmed to control certain features on the TV. You can visit https://support.tclusa.com/tv-remote-codes for more information. Additionally, you can program the TV to power on to a specific input. Here are steps to accomplish this.
