    Your router better be nearby

    Had just added Roku units to three older TVs and LOVED the way they works. Needed 1 more new TV, so thought getting a Roku ready would be great. WRONG!! This particular TV won't pick up my internet in my bedroom, even though my cell (which is 4 years old) & laptop works fine in my bedroom & pickup a strong signal. So unless your router better is very near where you plan to put this TV...don't purchase!

    Lags like crazy. I’m afraid to rewind, fast forward, raise/lower the volume, or pause anything I’m watching. All of that on its own is enough to freeze up the tv and kick me out of whatever I’m watching back to the home screen or turn off completely. The color is pretty bright. I’ll use it until it breaks and from what I’ve read, that’s about two years.

    Picture not good

    I returned this item because the clarity of picture and color was poor. I only bought it because it had a headphone jack. I also could not pair it with my Spectrum remote control. Bought a Vizio instead and the quality was much better.

    I'm bugged out by what's literally in side the tv!

    Strange screen problem with this brand new Westinghouse TV??? It's being returned today. How long have these boxed TV sitting? Why are there bugs walking around inside the tv screen? Bow long have the mountains of imported electronics from China been sitting locked up in containers and festering in corrugated boxes?

    Screen rolling and flickering lines in 12 months

    Got 2 of them for my office, they were good until one of the screens started scrolling with weird lines, skipping and flickering with brightness increases and decreases, seems buggy or faulty. I hardly use it on random weekends, still product life is poor. Not worth it.

    Worst TV I ever owned.

    I use over the air TV with a roof antenna. It work very well on my other TV but this TCL ROKU only works the one time it scans and saves the TV channels. The next time you turn it on, none of the TV stations are received! They are all listed but no channels will work. Lousy support and if you search for this issue on the web its very common. Don't buy a TCL Roku TV!

    Horrible Software

    TV itself is nice for the money but the Roku software is terrible compared to the android. Set up is ridiculous, having to provide email just to use the tv. It kept failing to send. I bough 2 32” TVs and it took me about 7min to set up the Android and It took me 2 hours to set up this Roku. Would never buy another

In order to use the smart features of this TCL Roku TV, you would need to complete the guided setup. This includes connecting to the Internet via WiFi, creating a Roku account (completely free), and activating the TV (completely free). However, if you just want to use this TV as a traditional TV by connecting external devices through the various inputs and not use the smart features, you can elect to not connect this TV to the Internet at startup. You will still have access to all of the inputs and features of a traditional TV.     Strange Sound

    We recently returned this because we had an issue with the speakers sounding hollow (without bass) when we were watching programs. It would happen two or three times during an hour-long show and then go back to normal. I emailed TCL and they recommended some possible solutions, none of which worked. So, they recommended exchanging it. We returned it.

    If you are hard of hearing and use headphones. Forget about buying this TV. This TV has a headphone jack, but it is not for your headphones. It's is for a Roku soundbar or Roku speakers. Then you plug your headphones into one of them. I read that other soundbar or speaker won't work. How do you like how companies will screw their customers to make more money?

    The TV had a defect unable to connect internet.

    Had to wait for may daughter to try to hook up to internet. She called the maker and discovered It was not sending a signal. Since it was over 15 day limit Best Buy would not take it back. I'm sending it back for TCL to repair. Need to wait for them to ship me a box since it was thrown away. This turned out to be a big disappointment.
