    Low quality TV

    Salesman insisted that I buy this cheaply made flimsy TV although it did not have many of the features I told him I wanted (voice remote, ethernet port, control buttons on the TV). He also ignored my request for another TV that I specifically asked for. On the bright side though this TV has RCA inputs so I can hook up the VCR and watch all those video tape rentals from Blockbuster (sarcasm). In addition, sound and picture quality not so good. To sum up, if you are looking for an inferior product without the features you want and missing those that you do being hoisted on you by a Bestbuy employee who ignores everything you say than this may be something for you.

    Piece of ....

    Bought this to receive cable/satellite signal over the antenna coax input with ability to use Netflix and Prime - just like all my other TV's. No way to manually select channels and no way to manually select inputs. Do not buy this tv for this purpose - it is strictly for roku and other streaming channels. First and last TCL TV for me - taking it back to Best Buy for a Samsung, LG or Toshiba. If I could rate it a zero I would.

      Hi Muddy,

      Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. Currently, our smart TVs do not support the direct input of channel numbers for OTA. However, if your TV is connected to the Internet, you can press the left arrow key to populate a channel guide and navigate channels this way. Additionally, you can enable "favorites" for over the air channels so that your most-watched channels will automatically appear towards the top. To enable favorites you would go to Home>Settings>TV inputs>Antenna TV>Favorite Channels>Enable. Hope this helps!

    Not great

    Takes forever to connect to the network after you turn it on. None of my other tvs have this issue, and this tv is closest to the router.

    I hate this tv

    I wouldn’t recommend this tv. It freezes very often and restarts suddenly. The satellite channels are very hard to watch since it takes multiple clicks and time to get the tv to switch channels. Also, a thin line across the screen appeared and you can only see colored pixels instead of the actual thing on tv. I’ve never written a review, but this tv frustrates me so much it made me do it. :/

    I’m very upset

    I brought the back in June and just opened it up and the tv screen was broken. I paid my hard earned money for this tv and only to set it up and it’s broken. I can’t even get my money or tv replaced is ridiculous. Be I went passed the return date. I just opened the box today. I’m very upset . I will never buy anything else from Best Buy.

    Painfully slow processor

    Internal Panel Cracked

    This is my 2nd TCL TV I through in the garbage within 1 year. The Internal Panel behind the screen is very week. If your finger touches the screen by mistake it will crack it. Internal panel damage is not covered by warranty. I had 65'' that had same problem, I would NEVER buy this BRAND again. Save your money & buy any other brand.

    Broke after a year.

    After about a year lines across the screen. Shadows going down. Broke already. Only settings are for brightness. Resolution now garbage. Worthless. Going to the garbage. Spent this money for what?

    Crap tv

    Starts out well. 2.5 years old and the tv goes into reset mode and was stuck in it. Tried everything to fix. Now have to buy new tv because out of warranty

    Aweful tv ashamed i bought it

    Made same mistake the rest have made and tried to save money. Worst choice of tv ever. Constant freezing and resetting of system along with increasing start up/reset time. Do yourself a favor and spend a little more for a better product. I will never buy this brand again.

    Freezes a lot

    Freezes and restarts itself A LOT. To the point I’m on best buys website looking for a new smart tv because it’s too annoying to continue dealing with. Don’t buy!! (Customer support and hard restarts didn’t help)

    Not worth it

    Only had 3 months and it quit worked, had a bigger tcl before this and it only lasted a year. Yes they are cheaper but they suck.

    Keeps restarting on its own

    had to set up Roku account with credit card #

      Hello,

      Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. In order to use the smart features of this Roku TV, you would need to complete the guided setup. This includes connecting to the Internet via WiFi, creating a Roku account (completely free), and activating the TV (completely free). However, if you just want to use this TV as a traditional TV by connecting external devices through the various inputs and not use the smart features, you can elect to not connect this TV to the Internet at startup. You will still have access to all of the inputs and features of a traditional TV. Hope this helps!
