I rarely purchase items whose brand name I’m not familiar with. I’m SO happy I decided to take a chance on this purchase. It was a breeze to set up and easy to use. Picture quality is beautiful. Super light weight and slim. Perfect for any room. Glad I took a chance on this one!

I've been a Roku user for over a decade and have used it to stream free TV starting when HULU was free with no commercials. A lot has changed now, but I'm committed to paying nothing for extra's for TV.
I use the Roku to stream content and wanted one for my kitchen - but also didn't want the extra box or two remotes for that room. I also use a Mohu Leaf for Over-The-Air TV and this works well with the antenna too! New flat screen TV's are much lighter weight than they were when first introduced. My older TV's are much heavier than this. I'm not interested in putting holes in my walls to hang the TV, and this one sits on a rolling shelf in the kitchen nicely.
My past reasons for NOT wanting a Roku TV is that I was concerned about the upgraded technology of Roku boxes over the years, but this one also comes with 3 HDMI ports so if the old tech in the TV really becomes obsolete before the end of the life of the TV I can also just buy a Roku Stick if I need to... but lets hope I don't need to do that as it would make me then possibly need to use a second remote.
One of my reasons for selecting this Roku TV over the others was for the 1080P resolution. Since this TV is only 32 inches, I don't see a spectacular difference due most likely to the relatively small size of the TV. However this was still priced lower than several other Roku TVs at 720P.
Initially I wanted to buy a 28 inch Roku TV but they're rare. I did see this exact brand for sale online, but I prefer to buy things like larger electronic items from brick-and-mortar stores so that if I have a problem I can drive it back to the store and not have to be concerned with how to repackage a TV for safe shipping to an online only merchant.
Interestingly, all the TVs that were smaller were the same or more money. When I realized that I do have room for the 32 inch in my kitchen, I just decided "why not"? I have two other 32 inch TV's (Dynex - a Best Buy brand of old), and 2 more - a 22" & 42" inch (Dynex) that I purchased when we had to make the upgrade to digital TV's. They all work just fine too. I'd purchased another name brand one at the same time back then and in comparison to the Best Buy brands the other name brand one was terrible so I returned it immediately to exchange for the Best Buy brand back then.
I also recently purchased a Westinghouse with a DVD from Best Buy for my "old school" mother who loves her DVD's. Also like this one, very lightweight and with a good picture.
Every TV I own, I purchased at Best Buy.
In the store of course you can see the magnificent of the 4G's with also their massive sizes. Although fascinating, I still feel really good about these that I own now. I'm also not interested in spending more money for the latest technology.
This TLC is great! My favorite thing about it, after the great clear picture, and the easy interface when turning it on, is the simply designed, single remote control.
I did buy the extended warranty for the maximum time for that same reason.
I'd recommend this. The store had these TV's in much larger sizes also for sale and at great prices compared to many other larger models for sale. If there is no difference in performance with size increases I'd say this is a great choice at any size.

We purchased two 55 inch 4 series TCL TVs last year and fell in love with the Roku system.
Purchased this unit for the inlaws who are not technology savy. The ease of the Roku system introduced them to streaming and now they love Netflix, Amazon prime and YouTube.
Not only is the TV easy to use but the picture is great for the money and size. It's not 4k, but there is a noticeable difference between this TV and their other sets.
The one complaint is the fact that the remote is ir, meaning you have to have line of site to the receiver at the bottom of the TV.

Great TV except for streaming sound

I love this TV in a lot of ways: great 1080p picture, wifi, fast easy streaming using Roku, a headphone jack (which is increasingly rare), lightweight.
But I've noticed that when streaming the sound intermittently cuts out for about 1/2 second at a time with no corresponding disruption to the picture. We have very fast internet, the TV has a strong wifi connection, and when I sat it right next to my 10-year old TV with an external Roku, only the TCL had sound disruptions. I don't watch broadcast TV (antenna) much from this unit but I haven't noticed the problem with the antenna, and I think it is worse during commercials. (Since commercials are up-to-date even with old streaming shows, I think they must be merged into the stream and perhaps this somehow makes a difference.)
TCL customer service had me try resetting a few things & rebooting, and we thought maybe the issue has cleared up, but right after I got off the call it started acting up again. I tried exchanging the TV for an identical one, thinking maybe I had a lemon, but the same issue occurs with the identical unit as well.
I have a couple of other minor quibbles, but only the sound problem is significant enough to make me equivocate on recommending this TV:
-- It stands on little legs near the outer edges of the TV, requiring it to be set upon a surface wide enough for the legs. I would prefer a central mount, ideally one that allows some rotation.
-- Watching broadcast TV, I noticed that its output is slower by maybe a second or two than my 10-year-old Sony digital 1080p TV. This can be a problem when both TVs are playing in different rooms and the sound isn't close to being synchronized.

I have always paid a pretty penny on fancy Samsung TVs because I thought they were better quality. I switch to TCL a few years ago. This is the 4th TCL tv I have bought for our home. We have one in every room of the house. It is the easiest smart tv to use which I am thankful for because my husband is not so tech savvy. I have recommended this brand to many friends and told them it was a game changer.

This TCL 32" Roku TV offers good picture quality and great features at great price. This inexpensive TV is a great value. The 1080p picture is very good and the sound is decent for a small TV. I love the headphone jack which makes it so easy to plug in a nice set of computer speakers for improved sound. We have a Klipsch 2.1 speaker system we plug into the headphone jack, it sounds awesome.
I am happy with the quality of the TV tuner. I connected a Mohu leaf indoor antenna and scanned in all our 40+ local channels. NBC, CBS, Fox, ABC, PBS and more in crystal clear HD. Our local channels together with our Roku apps and streaming services (Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, MLB.TV, NBA.TV, Hulu, etc...) provide all the TV viewing we need. We pay for what we want instead of subscribing to cable or satellite TV and being forced to pay for so many channels in which we have no interest. We have Roku devices on all our other TV's so we were already family with the interface. It's intuitive and pretty easy to navigate.
It's a very nice little TV but there are some negatives as well, My biggest issues are that it can be a little sluggish and slow to respond at times. Also, the included remote is not great. You have to be fairly precise in where you point it for it to work. My wife is okay with it but I usually just use the remote function on the Roku smartphone app, the TV responds to it faster and it doesn't have to be aimed at the TV. You can also upgrade to a better Roku remote control if you desire.
Overall, it's a very nice compact 1080p TV and a great value. I recommend it.

This TV is an excellent value for a 32" smart TV that also works very well as a 1080P HD computer monitor. The only negative I have about this TV is the very first thing it wants to do when you power it on, is get your WiFi password and update the software and apps on the TV. If you want to purchase this as an affordable 32" computer monitor you will need to invest 10 minutes for setup just to select the computer input and use it. Also, there are no physical buttons on this TV, you will always need to use the remote control.

Purchased this TV to cut the cable from the bedroom! So easy to set-up, remote is simple and the game consoles easily attached. The picture and sound are great! Can’t believe for the price of this TV that it’s so great in many ways! And we are using Roku for the first time too! Excellent and easy to set-up as well!! Highly recommend the TV and ROKU! Buying another one for another room.

The 32" television field is a bit odd -- it's right before things get good with 40". I got this TV for my college dorm, so I wasn't looking for anything premium. This TV is probably one of the better of TVs its size, but it is nothing compared to newer technologies on the market. The resolution is a bit pixelated and the refresh rate is not too noticeable. Colors are great, but there are no options to contrast, color tone, etcetera like there are on some of its competitors. The speakers are a bit better than average (Dolby sound), but nothing absolutely stellar (then again I did not test them much since this TV is hooked up to a soundbar). The color seems to change a bit with the viewing angle, but it's nothing too noticeable. Where this TV redeems itself is in its built-in software...among the best I have used. Although I would prefer a slightly-more complex remote, the UI is not only streamlined but also offers a plethora of apps. It is also greatly customizable, which I enjoy. Overall, this TV is nothing exceptional, but it is definitely better than others that it competes with thanks to its accurate color tones and built-in operating system. But one major flaw: there is a white light that stays on when the TV is off, and it is quite bright! Luckily, my sound bar covers it!

This is the 2nd TCL Roku TV we've purchased. When we had an ancient TV finally fail, we immediately thought of the TCL Roku as a replacement because we love the 1st one so much. Good decision, it's a great TV, good apps included, easy to maneuver between them, just a delight to have. It cleans the area up because you don't need a bunch of other devices, like a roku sitting on the shelf. Also, it is light, especially compared to the 15 year old TV! I'd recommend the TCL Roku TV to anyone!

Great picture! Tons of free apps included through the Roku, and pretty easy to use. Downside: the Mirroring feature is TRASH. Had I known how horrible it was, I would have NEVER purchased this television. You have to download a special app to make it work (unlike my LG TV), and it’s not only delayed, but extremely grainy. Also, I don’t like the fact that this TV ONLY comes with the standard Roku remote, not a standard television remote. A little annoying for older people to navigate.

Works well for a college dorm room. Not too big and easy to use with built in Roku. Picture is clear and tv is easy to setup. For the price it’s a good 1080p tv. Multiple moves and time will be the real test of quality. I have friends that have had this brand of tv for years and they still work.

I just turned it on and sync'd to my existing Roku account. All the instructions come up automatically on screen, no need for a manual. Operating system couldn't be easier.
It's lightweight and I take it with me when I travel to use as a computer monitor using the HDMI connections.
The picture is better than I would expect for the price. Sound is adequate but it can connect to a soundbar via optical output. There is no Bluetooth output, however. Very happy with this purchase after a month of daily use.
